What is the thickness of this? I need these to stick on vents that are on the ceiling and want to make sure they are strong enough magnets.

will it work on 10 inch round vent with opening of about 8 inches. it is not flat

not sure. My take, try it and if not return. I used it on flat 6X10 and works great.

can these be used on the outside of a shed in the winter to block cold wind?
