A great rocker for your garden or porch
This rocker is exactly what I wanted. It is a very good looking, comfortable rocker. It is well made and all parts fit precisely together. This is not a complaint, but the rocker is not a super strong rocker. If you want a sturdy hard wood rocker then you should buy an Amish made one for 500-700 dollars. But if you want a good functional, occasional rocker, this is it. It is easy to assemble and mistake proof. I have one suggeston before you begin assembly. Buy a longer handle Allan wrench and some liquid nails. Take the wrench that is included with your rocker to your local hardware store and buy a longer handle wrench and a good Phillips screwdriver. Yes you can assemble the rocker with the included tool but I think you will be much better off with better tools (the allan wrench and phillips screwdriver), and adding some glue where the parts go together. I do not think this rocker will handle very heavy people, say over 225 lbs. Yes it will hold them but any continued rocking or shifting weight I think will be damaging. I am not an engineer but if you look at my photos you will see that the back of the rocker is the weak link. The back portion is already weak from the hole for the leg and therefore is prone to breakage at that point. With all that said I think this rocker is a very good deal and I am 100% pleased with mine. I recommend this for anyone who wants a good looking functional rocker. It will add a nice touch to your porch or patio.

Solid construction and stable rocking motion
We purchased this set of two Vermont Rocking Chairs for our front porch, and they’ve quickly become a favorite spot to relax. The oak finish is warm and inviting, and the classic design blends beautifully with outdoor décor. Assembly was straightforward, with all parts fitting together securely. Once built, the chairs feel sturdy and well‑balanced, with a smooth rocking motion that’s comfortable for long sits.

Very nice and sturdy.
It looks good. Sturdy and not too hard to put together. I keep it on the porch. I wish it were waterproof and a bit more comfortable. So I just use a pad to sit on and I sprayed it with waterproof spray.

Cheap garbage
First, as a professional woodworker, I call tell you 100% that these are not hardwood. You can even dig your nail into the wood to prove it. It smells like either pine or cheap cedar. They show a picture of red oak in the ad but that’s what you expect from Chinese companies. They don’t use quality glue on their joints. I had one pop as soon as I sat in it. The design of the chair isn’t reenforced and let’s movement happen no matter how tight you screw it. The screws in the arms are 1.25 long and will not hold. Mine had one that was 1.25 and one that was 1.5. Total lack of QC. The finish is absolute garbage and has imperfections and the color isn’t even in places. Anyone paying more than 60 bucks for these are getting ripped off. These are good for decoration and that’s about it. If you plan on using a rocking chair, spend the 200 dollars and get one from Cracker Barrel. They are the best you can readily get for the price and are made from actual Oak. 1 month update: chair already broke. Arm joints and support joints popped. Arms were held together with a 1.25 drywall screw only. Absolute garbage. Almost put my wife and baby on the floor. Took the chair to my wood shop and re-did all joints with glue and longer wood screws. I cannot stress enough to not purchase these chairs. Anyone with a good review doesn’t actually use these and just have them as decorations on their urban house porches. 2 month update: chair supports completely snapped. Mind you, this is my 150lbs wife rocking our baby on a daily. Normal rocking chair stuff. Hard pass on this rocking chair.

Not bad for the price
I never realized how expensive rocking chairs were until I decided to buy one! It is really hard to find assembled rocking chairs in my area and there are so many styles I wasn't 100% sure what I would be most comfortable in. I tried the local Cracker Barrel and of all of their display ones only one was completely comfortable and it wasn't in a color I wanted (I sat in every one they had out). I did learn they shape I was looking for, so that got me farther than I was before I stopped by. I also learned that the comfort can depend on who put it together...so off to Amazon I came. Size wise this is slightly smaller than I expected, but I think that is only because I browsed the reviews and the lovely picture of the woman sitting in hers was throwing my brain off...I pictured her to be my height, but she's definitely shorter than me. No one's fault but my own there! To be fair, if I sit all the way back in the seat with my back straight the back of the seat is about an inch from the back of my knees. Unfortunately I tend to slouch down a bit and in that case I feel like it is too short for me in the seat. I got two of these in red (mainly due to the cheaper cost of the color). It is a really pretty red and looks nice with my red brick house so it's all good. One of the chairs was missing parts but the return/replace was super easy. I've only put one together so far (weather and an unrelated injury has delayed the other one). It was pretty easy to put together, although I'd rather have had standard screws for everything, the allen wrench forced me to do most of it by hand and I felt that was unnecessary. The first time I sat in it I heard a creak that sounded like a crack, but upon inspection haven't found any cracks, and haven't heard it in that place since. I did notice one of the seat boards make a creaking sound a few days later when I shifted to cross my legs, but again no visible crack. So I'm not sure if this will hold up over time, or if it is just the pieces settling themselves a bit with use, only time will tell. If they hold up a few seasons I won't be disappointed for the price I don't expect these to be heirlooms.

Loved the 1st so I got myself a 2nd
Easy to assemble. Comfortable fit for a large man (5'10" 200+lbs), better with cushions (highly recommend SUNROX). Only flaw, had to sand down the bottom of the "feet/rocker panels" to avoid the paint from rubbing off of my tiles (simple two minute fix).

Ein sehr schöner Schaukelstuhl! Robust, große Sitzfläche, schaukelt super! Hab ihn jetzt drinnen stehen... Auf Laminat Boden... Problemlos! Fazit: Super! Danke!

I'm not sure about those who complained these were difficult to assemble. It took me about 20 minutes for the first one, and 15 for the second. I used an electric drill for the four screws holding the rockers and then a ratchet make quick work of the other, hex bolts. I applied wood glue to each of the assembled joints to ensure they would not squeak or come loose over time. The chairs (I bought two) look great on our front porch.

I asked for this as a last minute Christmas gift and it was delivered in record time, so I was really impressed right from the start. The chair was really simple to assemble and it looks awesome! Being that I'm in Quebec Canada I'll be using it inside. It has a little cracking sound when I rock however I think it's part of its charm. Very satisfied and I would buy it again :)

Very happy with this product. My daughter assembled it in an half in hour to 45 minutes. Which it does state an half an hour. The wood quality is great! Stained well. It recommends you to put a spray a UV protection on it so I did. Very comfortable:)
