Charged up nicely and powers up my tools nicely!! Don't know how long they last though. I'm expecting them to last though!! Happy!!

DeWalt Battery
As other reviewers noted, there is a metal tab on the contact end of the battery. I am uncertain why it is there but it did not effect function.As other reviewers noted, the batteries require a bit more force to install in the charger and the drill/driver.However, the batteries charged up and the drill/driver works just fine. The drill/driver would have otherwise become a candidate for the trash.I only purchased these a few weeks ago so as for longevity I can't say.Well worth cost.

lower battery capacity but works and the price is right
Both worked and recharge ok. The capacity of one is roughly a half to three quarters of my 4-year old DeWALT 12-V battery. In my experience the weight of these sorts of sealed lead-acid batteries is a good indication of their relative capacity. Pulled out the kitchen scale and found that these units are about 25% lighter (490g) than the original (672g). But the price is right and the ones sent to me fit the drill and trim saw and are still working OK after a few months. I'd say they are fine for occasional household use and small projects and they will allow you to keep using your 12-V DeWALT tools.
