Very easy to install. Easy to program

This is the thermostat I needed to regulate the temperature in our home orchid greenhouse that uses a vented gas stove controlled by a milliamp control system (requires no electrical connections). Operates perfectly! It allows us to set back the nightime temperature so the orchids can set bud which was not possible with a regular thermostat with no programming features.

Great replacement for the one that failed. Easy to install and worked immediately.

I have a matching model of 1f80-261. It has been acting up with problems with the temperature not being accurate. We had purchased a temperature gauge to see the difference and it was always 5-7 degrees off. I went to replace the batteries thinking that may be the problem and the unit started smoking and hissing from behind the screen. I removed the batteries promptly and then removed the unit from the wall all while the grey smoke kept fogging out. I would be very careful of this product as it could very well be a fire hazard.

I bought this to replace the 224 that I had that stopped working (temperature sensor died). This was an almost perfect replacement for it. The size is a little smaller so it did not fit. I only have a furnace and my system is a 2 wire one (white and red). Can't get much simpler than connecting white to W and red to R. My old thermostat had an RC and RH which had a short wire jumping them.
