Worked to connect my Chromebook to an exterior monitor
I purchased this to hook up my Chromebook to a second monitor (Crua gaming monitor). It set up quickly and worked right away. The adapter piece to allow for different USB types is a nice touch. It's a simple, sturdily built device that worked exactly as described. Perfect for my needs and for the price point.

Works under Linux
It works pretty good but, there are issues. If you reboot the computer and it hangs and never finishes booting, you need to unplug the adapter and reboot the computer. Allow the computer to boot all the way back up before plugging in the adapter.

Probably user error
I have a cheap Lenovo laptop whose only output port is HDMI, which is a problem when I need to use two additional monitors for work stuff. Anyway, I was thrilled to see that I was able to display on all 3 screens, extended and not mirrored. However, within minutes of using the computer, the mouse cursor gets all screwed up. It highlights a good 2 inches from where it’s pointing. Weirdest part is, the mouse starts doing it on the other monitor as well, even though that one is connected through a separate port. Once I unplug the adaptor, the other screens return to normal, so there must be some sort of incompatibility between my cheap laptop and the graphics card. Can’t use it.:(

Lifesaver
The integrated video adapter on my very old computer died and replacement cards that fit my motherboard are hard to come by. This was the perfect solution. I bought this one in particular because it said that the supported resolutions were the same on both USB 2.0 and 3.0 and since I have a hi-res monitor in the supported resolutions, but only have USB 2.0, this was perfect. It is truly plug and play, Windows found the driver. Took me a minute to realize I had to make adjustments to my monitor settings via the frame buttons to get it to display video in PC mode rather than video mode. It also has 2 audio output ports, one for speaker audio and one for headphones. Also took me a minute to figure out why (with the HDMI cable), sound wasn't coming out of my speakers. I just connected my speaker wire to the audio port.I'd like to take off half a star because, through no fault of the device (computer limitations) it doesn't start the video signal until the computer is completely booted up, so I can't actually see the boot process. I suspect this won't be a problem for people using it to attach an additional monitor rather than using it as a primary.

It really works on android
I'm so happy with this devices, i used it on an old android phone and it worked really well, resolution is great and never lag. Sometimes the image freeze but it depends on the battery options on your device, its better charging simultaneously to avoid that

Misleading description pretty much lying to you
This item description is very misleading. This is not an external video card which some of their text would lead you to believe this is just an external adapter. Most video cards will only run 4 monitors max. So if you think you are going to plug this in and get a 5th going you are wrong. As and adapter I bet it will work fine. As a true external video card it does not work like that. This quote from their text is very misleading to the customer "WL-UG3501H works as an external video card, instantly allowing users to attach additional displays via an HDMI connection without the hassle of..." this is a video card adapter or extender but not an external video card in that it does not do rendering on its own.

It Fixed My Problem
I bought a laptop and foolishly did not do a deep dive into the specs. The USB-C port did not support video output, thus I couldn't use my preferred two video display output. Hubs wont support monitors on this laptop. I was so disappointed. After a lot of research, Grok (!) Suggested I try this. It worked. Now I have two external monitors working. Yay.
