I’m enjoying this supplement so far. It was delivered quickly, and I look forward to the results. I’m hoping to improve my skin tone and texture, but I also look forward to all the other added benefits! :)

I am a 55 and post-menopausal woman. I have cataracts in both eyes, though no surgery is necessary yet. I also have macular degeneration in one eye and was told it will eventually spread to both eyes. I've read that cataract surgery speeds the progression of macular degeneration, so I am using both castor oil and coconut oil in my eyes (applied with Q-tips) in a desperate effort to dissolve them. I will say coconut oil is EXCELLENT for dry eyes. Just figured I'd throw that in there. Castor oil is thicker and doesn't melt. Still I am using both at bedtime as the castor oil WILL cause vision to become cloudy if I am watching TV. I like the fact that this supplement contains astaxanthin rather than zeaxanthin, as astaxanthin crosses the brain and retinal barrier and protects it from blue light. I'm a gardener, so I am scared to death to be out in the sun now, especially since I often forget to put my sunglasses on. The problem with this supplement though is it DEFINITELY affects hormones, as one male reviewer who developed gynomastia stated. As a post-menopausal woman, I can attest that this has some beneficial and not-so-beneficial hormonal effects. Perhaps younger women won't experience these. My libido and 'ability' increased, which was great! The not so great? My already thinning hair started falling on in globs to the point where I only use this occasionally. This is disheartening because I am forced to choose between my already thinning hair and my eye site. As a woman, sounds crazy, but my hair is winning. I do take other supplements, and I do try to find vegetarian or vegan supplements whenever possible. I am going broke, but these are the ones I am taking, and I do believe my vision has improved somewhat and nighttime glare isn't as bad. Unfortunately I can't say for sure which one or ones are helping. This is what I am taking: - Polar Power Sockeye Salmon Oil which contains astaxanthin and other carotenoids. I plan on drinking this. Just kidding. I will be taking at least 2 teaspoons a day. Right now I am only taking 1 teaspoon. Doesn't taste bad at all. - Sports Research Vegan Lutein + Zeaxanthin with Organic Coconut Oil Smarter Vitamins 100% Berry-Sourced Vitamin C with True C - AceWorks Saffron Extract (helps me sleep too) - Nature's Lab CoQ10 + Alpha Lipoic Acid + Acetyl L-Carnitine HCl - Protocol For Life Balance - Taurine 1,000 mg (for cataracts) - Vitamin D3 5000 IU Small Capsule Units for Men & WomenRelentless Improvement Vitamin K2 Mk4 Vegan (currently unavailable on Amazon) - Relentless Improvement Vitamin K2 Mk4 Of note: I am also looking into Bilberry, Cod Liver Oil (though there is more mercury in this than the sockeye salmon oil), and Benfotiamine (a form of thiamine). You can research all of these on Google if you have macular degeneration. Zinc and copper are others I'm considering, although there are mixed messages on Google as to whether these will help or worsen macular degeneration. Many vitamins are synthetic, most don't realize, so this too is disheartening. I've been eating a lot of yellow fin tuna, though albacore contains more astaxanthin. Salmon is the best source. Also, I've read that cataracts are protective against UV rays, so I'm not sure if dissolving my cataracts on my own will essentially speed the progression of macular degeneration just as surgery would. Only time will tell... I hope this review helps someone out there.

I’ve been taking BioAstin on and off for over 10 years and what I found is it accumulates in the system so after taking it for a month I noticed huge improvements with iHealth skin health, brain health, and even overall recovery. My eyes see better and my skin looks and feels better. I can recover quickly from too much sun exposure by having this. The reason I have taken it on and off all these years is because I was really in question of its effectiveness, which I found to be incredible along with so many others I can see around the world that this has changed their life for the better and so many different ways. This truly is one of the greatest sources of Astaxanthin I’ve ever found where I know it comes from a trusted bio secure zone free from contamination. The employees that work there are all incredible at what they do. Fortunately, I was able to visit the Nutrex facility and get a tour while visiting the Big Island of Hawaii. Highly support this purchase and recommend. Do not chew the capsules because it will coat your mouth with a very unique flavor that will not go away for quite some time, which is actually quite funny to see someone else do that but not funny. It will stain your clothes.
