I'm setting up my computer to do web conferencing and I did not want to look like a zombie in the dark. I'm using this set as part of a three-point-lighting configuration. I can also use it in the future for possible photography and video production needs.Everything looks well constructed and it was all packaged well. I'm happy.

For lighting things wishing 20 feet or areas within 30 feet it is just fine. The stands while not beefy are strong enough and stable if you take care to point one of the 3 tripod legs forward to where the lamp head and lightbox is cantilevered out. Or just extend the legs so they spread much wider.The dual power is a plus of you have the standard batteries but I’ll be using it plugged in as I’m indoors and not needing to move them much.Color ranges from warm to cool though I didn’t measure the color temp for accuracy. Others have done that. It’s good enough for YouTube and small scale productions. For lighting and outdoor night time dance floor at a wedding this isn’t it and it never claims to be.As others have mentioned , the soft boxes are not going to be easy to twist back into the collapsed shape to get them into their pancake covers. If you need to pack it up into the bag it comes with a lot and use the soft boxes then finding another solution to just flatten and hold the soft boxes , or using separate soft boxes is a likely solution. The twisting internal wire technology that suggests a normal person can recollapse them is like expecting someone to repack their Christmas fairy lights into the box they came out of - it’s just not going to happen.Summary - for filming your hobby and YouTubing these are excellent.

Super easy to set up and nice protective bag. The light diffuser could use some directions. Some videos online show with the directional panels on, and some off. It is somewhat easier to have them on, but still have to open up the Velcro a bit to allow more light to come through the light box.

Super bright and a very portable pack.

This particular package has it all! It includes the soft box shades with them to soften the light with all the necessary accessories. If had the batteries, it would be perfecto!

I bought this to light me for recording videos. The lights are too bright even on the lowest settings. I set the lights up today and had to put pieces of paper over the front of the soft boxes to make it work.The other challenge is that I can't aim the lights down with the soft boxes on them. This defeats the purpose when lighting myself for videos.They also produce a surprising amount of heat and the remote only seems to work with one of the two in the set that I bought.

I love these lights. Perfect for my in home studio. The adjustable light doors (to direct the lights) are heavy duty. The diffuser panels work but take a minute to figure out the clip (since there a no instructions) that holds them in place but the panels are nice and snug once they are in. The remote is fine but nothing fancy (which is fine). The softboxes are very nice. The double case is very nice (and it's great to have the stands fit inside the case!).My only gripe is with the stands. They are good but not great. They are fine for my home office but they wouldn't do for me if I was using them professionally (especially outside). I've almost knocked them over here at home.Overall, I'm happy with this kit and am happy I spent the extra to get this upgraded kit. The stands annoy me for the price point though. #JustSayin

Horrible. One of the main lights arrived disassembled. There was an attempt to assemble it, but it clearly failed. Nonetheless, it was wrapped up and sold. The screw holes were damaged in the shoddy assembly and thus the screws will not stay in. So the control panel will not stay mounted on the light. Utterly unacceptable quality control. Save your money.
