The bathtub walls will do as well. Our tiles at home aren't super smooth so they do slide around slightly, though depending on your child's dexterity he may afford not to knock them about with play. Not the level of skill expected of a child, is it. If using the tubes standalone it's an effortless setup, just apply minimal moisture to the suction cups and press. When daisy-chaining two or more though they do have to be aligned for the water to seamlessly flow, again if you're doing this on your tub walls it's fine, otherwise with less-than-smooth tiles the pipes will slide around causing them to fall out of alignment.

These are amazing, we’ve bought them for each of our three children when they’ve been around 2 years old. They’re really a favorite.

This is such a great addition to our other tubes toy set, and I am just delighted that we found it! The toys from this brand have been either a wild hit, or complete miss, but these tubes stick well, are so much fun for the kids to make elaborate tube mazes out of, and overall keep my almost 5-year-old busy in the bath for over an hour when this is the toy he selects. I definitely would not purchase this as a standalone, I would get the other set. But this is a perfect extension to the other set, so if your kid likes the other set and frequently uses all of them in building, definitely get this one as well and you will see some more elaborate and tall structures.

Bathtime has never been so fun for my husband and I, we get to make long runs of tubes (we have three sets), our coloured water (from amazon bath bombs) down them, we really love putting them onto the glass door and watching the water run off. We also love love love to stick one under the tap and watch the wheels whizz really quickly. Obviously our 2 and 5 year olds also love them too but I’m pretty sure my husband and I are getting the most value for money from them!
