Faithfull FAISPBOX2732 Tap Backnut Spanner 27 x 32 mm, Tommy Bar

The lock (spud) nut under one of the two faucets on our vintage powder room sink was loose, and the whole faucet would twist when turning the water on or off. After trying to get things done with various solutions that did not work from Home Depot, I pulled the trigger and bought the right tool. After turning off the water and undoing the supply line, then using this tool to tighten the washer, everything is good as new. I don’t know when I’ll ever need it again, but I’ll be ready!

Worked perfectly for replacing the cartridge in my Grohe Concetto bathroom faucet (32138001). I had also tried a Harbor Freight set of 5, but none of them fit well enough to budge the retaining nut. I also tried a 6-point deep socket, but it only rounded the corners of the nut - it was in very tight. Thankfully this one did the trick despite the rounded corners.

Two of the four holes for the Tommy bar were not clean, which prevented the Tommy bar from going through at all. Not only is it poor craftsmanship but zero quality control to miss this. Obviously, this banner doesn’t work without leverage.

Arrived with several manufacturer defects -- several dents on the top edge of the 32mm size. These were not caused by shipping. The dents were bad enough that it would not fit onto the 32mm spanner nut that secures the cartridge in my Grohe kitchen faucet. Disappointed to say the least. Cannot recommend.
