Yes, they are wrapped in red paper. Note that the body of the pastelcrayon has facets, it is not a perfect rond cylinder.

How do these compare with the pentel

I have both. In my opinion, this one is little bigger size better shape to use, but doesn’t blend well. Pentecostal doesn’t blend well either. It is great for kids to use!
