University Games Murder Mystery Party - A Murder on the Grill, Host Your Own Cookout Murder Mystery Dinner for 8 Adult Players, Solve the Case with Crime Scene Clues, 18 Years and Up

I was very much looking forward to playing this MM game with my friends, but the CD wasn't included. In the instructions of the game it says that you can find the tracks on the UG site. But I didn't have any luck on their site either. I'm very disappointed and feel like I totally wasted my money.

This was such a fun idea for something different to do with your friends. I was the host of the party, but I also played the character Bourbon DuPre. The game comes with a guide for the planner/host that tells you the order in which things should happen, menu suggestions etc. The “story” takes place in 4 chapters. You will assign your guests to play one of eight different characters, one of which is already predetermined to be the killer, but no one knows except the killer upon opening your character booklets at the beginning of the game. At the beginning of the game when everyone opens their books, a suggestion would be to tell everyone to make their best guilty faces…this way, if the actual killer doesn’t have a good poker face, it doesn’t give anything away. It also helps if your friends really get into their parts and are over the top with it. Each of my guests really committed to their parts. I didn’t really follow the menu suggestions and came up with my own courses. We had a pre dinner cocktail hour where I served a Cajun inspired charcuterie board and boudin balls. The main course was chicken and andouille gumbo with rice. We ended the night with beignets (I ordered beignet mix from Cafe Du Monde) and hurricanes were the signature cocktail of the evening. I ordered various Mardi Gras decorations and had a photo wall for pictures. I also provided plenty of beads, masquerade masks and other favors. I gave each of my guests a personalized cocktail glass with a Murder at Mardi Gras design along with their names on it. Everyone had a great time and I definitely want to host for Murder mystery parties in the future!

We played this game for new years eve. All 8 characters were present. This was a first time for all of our guests and it was such a hit! Everyone loved it. At first we felt a touch intimidated having to learn our roles and learn the plot, but once we got rolling it was great! We had lots of laughs, there's great humor added into the story and lots of twists and turns. I would recommend this, and we plan to play more games from the same brand as all our guests requested that we do it again and soon!

Oh my goodness we had so much fun playing this. My friends aren’t the brightest but we figured it out without any mistakes. The actual storyline was so great we all loved it so much, we played with 6 people and didn’t use the extra players and it was fine. I definitely recommend this game! It was so fun and I’ll be looking to buy again!

The game was well explained & came with all we needed to do our first Murder Mystery game. So much fun!

Game was fun, had everything we needed to play! There were even recipes :) invitations were cute and the character profiles came with costume ideas. It was my first time hosting a Murder Mystery dinner and I will definitely do it again :)
