It has 2 settings. One is musical and one is learning.

I have not opened the box yet because it is a gift, but the box I received shows everything that is in the amazon photo and indicates that it includes 30 pieces (teapot, cake stand, cupcake box, 3 slices of bread, 5 pieces of cake, 4 cupcakes, 4 forks, cake server, 2 napkins, 4 cups, and 4 plates)

The cups can added water but the teapot no because it is battery operated.
