This expansion for those who is already experienced with the base game and Unseen forces and Arkham expansion. Here you have to control storm tokens' effects, season's effect and etc. It is quite challenging because while collecting Elder Signs, you must control the time. If you are on the 8th day - you lost (winter mode). And Ancients are able only from this expansion. And they are quite difficult. But the atmosphere and story (yes, it has a simple storytelling) are amazing!!! Especially if you play in winter. You must understand that chanses to win here are very low.. Mostly the game for atmosphere and experience and not for win.

A fun addition to my Elder Sign collection that changes up the game play in some really interesting ways. Highly recommended!

Bought this expansion pack as a gift for my brother. It's brilliant, lots of extra cards to play with to help expand and prolong the game. The original game is brilliant, but this really adds to it. New cards add new rules and complexity to the game. Definitely recommend!

OMG...I love Elder Sign! Is it swingy and partially luck driven due to depending on dice? Yeah...it is, but doesn't almost all board games rely on getting a good die roll, or drawing the right card at the right time? This game, as a whole has a ton to offer with endless replayability. This is an expansion, you must have the core game in order to play. Our investigators find themselves out in the cold, in Alaska, looking for a missing archeological expedition, facing snow, ice, and arctic temperatures. Sudden storms, in the form of storm markers. Complicate the rescue mission and could result in death for everyone. All of the expansions for Elder sign are unique and a ton of fun. Some harder than others, some more enjoyable (depending on how much you dig the theme), but they all offer a rich adventure and hours of fun. I have only played this game in solo mode and control 2-3 investigators. Great game!
