I have some very expensive office chairs, and the cylinder went bad on them. I did not want to spend several hundred dollars for a new chair and was researching replacement of the cylinder online, when I came across this excellent value and easy to replace cylinder for my chairs. Now my chairs function just like as if they were new and give all the proper support. These heavy duty cylinders work excellent because I’m a pretty big guy weighing about 300 pounds and they support my weight all day.

Recently picked up a Desky chair and have found it pretty disappointing mainly due to the very low sitting height. After doing some research I found that chair lift cylinders are pretty much standardised so figured I’d give this one a go. After some struggle removing the old one (look up a guide, you’ll need a mallet and a pipe wrench) I was able to replace it and was immediately impressed with the added height. I’m 6’5 and at full extension my feet mostly dangle which is a new experience for me. I’ve been using it at the minimum height and it’s perfect for me. Very pleased with the result and has saved a very expensive chair!
