Great product! Accurate color description!
This wood touch-up marker works remarkably well! I was hesitant to order one, thinking that it would likely take some trial and error to find a color that would match my cherry kitchen cabinets. I purchased the 'cherry' marker, and when it arrived, I was still skeptical, as it looked like it might be too light in color. But, I tested it on a 4" scratch and was amazed by the color match. For the next touch up, I took before & after photos, included here. The 'before' photo shows a sizeable scrape that happened when the inside of the cabinet door hit a pull-out shelf. The 'after' photo is the result of spending mere seconds dabbing the marker on the scrape. Since using the marker, I polished the door with furniture cleaner, and was glad to see that the touch-up color seems permanent.

Much better than wax crayons
The area I was trying to fix was the top surface of my dining room table, a spot about the size of a silver dollar. I had accidentally left a glade plug-in air freshener on the table, it leaked and ate through the finish on my table. Long story short, I called several professional furniture repair shops and they all wanted to refinish the entire table instead of just attempting to fix the spot, at a price that was just not worth it for the price I paid for the table. My first attempt at fixing the spot myself involved some wax furniture crayons. Those were horrible, color didn't match well enough, and they of course left a waxy finish just like a Crayola crayon. I sanded off this attempt and in my second attempt, I used this Minwax stain marker. The marker did the job, or at least did the job well enough for my amateur fix for an amateur price. The wood actually appeared to absorb the stain from the marker, as opposed to the wax crayons just leaving a wax residue. The spot is by no means well-blended... the best way to describe it is that it looks like a knot in the wood except that there are no other knots in my table! But the color was a spot-on match, it's just that the blending and finish don't look like what I imagine a professional furniture repair person could do. But I chalk that up to user error, not a problem with the marker itself. The smaller your repaired spot is, the less noticeable it will be after using this stain marker.

Takes Long to Dry
I was using this to Touch-Up a Guitar and on some Black Oak Bedroom Furniture. I will Caution any user = "It takes over 24 hrs to completely Dry" - to be honest . . . I went back to using a Sharpie on the Furniture. It's ok if you have the Time and the Patience. I wanted to love-it and order more colors/finishes . . . but not for me.

Touch up! It works
If you have scratched your door or need a quick touchup, this is the way to go. I had a new door knob put on and had some space that I needed to tent and this works perfectly.
