Frida Kahlo

This set is great for the young Frida Kahlo fan. The book is illustrated well and covers the major events in Kahlo's life. The doll is a work of art itself and serves to remind young children of the colourful and creative spirit of Frida Kahlo. This is such an excellent gift for a young Kahlo fan, but I think it would also appeal to older people who admire Friday's uncompromising and surreal work.The product itself is beautifully packaged and presented, and the board book is very sturdy and the perfect size for little childrens hands. For the older Kahlo fan, this product looks great on display and it could be kept in its presentation box.

I bought this for my daughters 1st birthday. She is 19 months now. She enjoys babbling and going through the book by herself, pointing out things in the pictures. The doll is just adorable and my daughter is fond of it, often choosing to cuddle her in bed and talk to her in the mornings lol

So completely delightful. I bought this for myself and as a gift, both recipients being old enough to know lots more about Frida than is covered - but still loved it. Everything about this made me smile, and I even got a little emotional. The simplistic style was adorable and I appreciated the little section at the end targeted towards mature readers. This would be absolutely incredible for a child aged four to eight. (But it’s just as great as a cute book for grown-ups!) I truly believe that Frida would approve of this book.

i liked the layout, there is enough info and history to draw a child into wanting to look further into the person they are reading about. the series has a lot of subjects who might not have ordinarily been chosen for a book, so this is a refreshing change.

Beautifully illustrated and it’s an amazing piece of work. I am a huge fan of Frida and I just took a chance to give it to my friends’ 3 yrs old boy. He loved it. By the next day he knew a lot about her and shown great interest. I was delated to be able to present such a great artist to such a young kid. I’m buying the whole collection for him :)
