These things work fantastic. You do need to learn how to use them first (which is not hard at all). The transmitter version is just stupid easy to use. and the receiver...well it does the same thing on the receiving end. Firmware updates keep on tweeking this already solid performer. I used my receiver with an sb900 on top without any issues, and attached to my Alien Bee's without issue. In fact, the system was so solid, I've dumped the allien bees, and the sb900. The V860ii does it all in one unit on both the tx and rc side...and the AD600 strobe is simply game changing.

Receivers with V12 OK, but not quite Prime Time
As of Feb 9, 2015 the X1NT transmitters & X1N receivers have firmware updates available to V12. V12 is a big improvement over the V08 mine came with as it will now work with the SB800. The other improvement is that the exposures are quite a bit more consistent with the V860N (V2.3 firmware available).Beware! This is not fully working trigger. If you set your camera to 250 FP mode it will walk all the way up to 1/8000th of a second! But... often the first shot after a shutter speed change there is a blank or over-exposed frame. Then it kicks in and works fine at that setting.Firmware is available (in Chinese, also remove Chinese characters in downloaded file and folder names!) at Godox at: [...]Instructions can be found at FlashHavoc.com: [...]

Works great as a simple trigger for manual studio flashes
Works great as a simple trigger for manual studio flashes. Also you can park your existing camera brand speed lights on it and get full TTL without the need for any communication flashes. Works around corners and through the wall etc.

Piece of crap. Turns off with brand new batteries and won't come back on unless I take the batteries out and put them back in. Worse than that is the timer... it turns off and won't restart before I get the chance to cross the room and set up the second light set. Had an event last night I tried these and they didn't work. Not one single fire.

Worst product
The worst photography product I ever had, dosnt work in high speed and support on website never respond to different requests. The pin to attach is cheaper quality and can damage your camera DONT BUY IT.

Works well and easy to upgrade.
I have been using this for several months and have upgraded the firmware a couple of times. So far it has been reliable and I have had no issues with misfires or failure to fire. I use it in conjunction with my Non- Godox kit from Yongnuo to give TTL control and integrate with my Godox flash equipment. I find them more reliable than other brands I have used. These units can have their firmware easily upgraded via trhe USB port.

First class service and an excellent product.
I am very happy with the Godox X1N wireless Flash Trigger set. It does what it says on the box, impeccably - I would reccommend the Godox trigger system unreservedly.
