Roses at peak bloom!
I have been looking for a rose scented perfume that reminds me of the Victorian era. Where it was soft and powdery without a harsh chemical odor. I wanted it to last without the headache. I wanted the scent of a fresh rose cut on a summer day or the back room of a local florist, not the shelf of a Bloomingdale’s or someone’s grandmother’s bathroom. This perfume is EVERYTHING I WANT! - PLEASE - do not discontinue this scent. It’s soft and delicate with a powerful hold. Also the scent is sooooo accurate that it smells soooo expensive, I get so many compliments! Win win! Femininity at its finest!

Edit smells much better
Update: Someone advised me that this scent may have been in a hot vehicle, and that may be throwing the scent off. They told me to put it in the refrigerator overnight. Then, take it out and put it in a dark closet with the lid off to allow it to breathe. So I did, and tried it this morning. Though it is still more woodsy than I remember it being, it is much better than how it was. I’ll give it a few more days with the lid off for it to calm down a bit more. So if any of you get a bottle that smells like a hundred cedar trees were cut down and stuffed in a bottle or that you’ve spent a year in a cedar chest, try that and see how it works for you.Old reviewThis bottle I got here smells nothing like True Rose. It may be rosy at first, but then turns into OFF Deep woods Mosquito Spray. When I went back to the bottle all it's spraying now is cedar. There was so much cedar on my skin it's like they cut down entire forest and stuffed it in a bottle with a drop of rose. Then it disappears in an hour. This can't be right. ugh!

True English and Damask rose scent!
I love it! It’s a clear rose scent with the tiniest hint of green so it smells just like a classic rose cut on its stem. I could still smell it well the next day on the shirt I was wearing when I tried it. I’m impressed that the scent lasted that long considering how inexpensive this was. Many fragrances especially the cheaper ones often give me headaches or allergies but this doesn’t do either. I have had MANY rose perfumes over the years. This one is a perfect combo of clear true rose scent and affordability.

Horrible scent
I bought Woods of Windsor Lily of the Valley 3.3 oz Eau de Toilette Spray because of the reviews, But I'm so disappointed. It was a horrible scent. The scent is too strong and it gave me a headache. Even after washing it off my wrist the scent still lingers. Don't wast your money!! This scent smell like public restroom deodorant. GROSS!!

Scent does not last/ perfect for pre-teen first “perfume”
The scent is definitely a light rose with hints of earthy woodsy undertones. It is not sweet or overly floral. However, after being applied directly to the skin, the scent is barely detectable after only half an hour. If you smell your skin directly it will smell like you had used a rose after bath powder rather than a toilet water or even a lotion. The scent lasts a little longer on clothing; but again, you have to actually put your nose to the clothing itself to smell the perfume. Think of this spray as a light body mist rather than a toilet water. Great for a pick-me-up, or a fresh mist out of the shower, or to freshen up the scent of clothing. Feminine, soft, light, and powdery smell. Not lasting. Beautiful feminine expensive looking bottle. I would suggest as a gift for a pre-teen/teenager as a first fragrance, or as a body mist.

The perfect "Crabtree & Evelyn" substitute!
My wife asked me where she could get C&E's "Lily of the Valley" perfume. After checking online at different retailers, and recovering from a near death experience (a 3.2 oz. bottle listed for as low as $135 and as high as $160!), I found "Lily of the Valley" by Woods of Windsor 3.3 oz. spray perfectly priced at under $40 a bottle. Took a week to arrive and when it did, I handed my wife the bag and said, "This is for you!" She opened the bag, and the box it came in (which arrived safely), and loved the vintage graphics which reminded her of her native France. She gave herself a few sprays and loved the fact that she can still get her favorite perfume for a smaller fraction of a price.
