Adventures of the Soul: Journeys Through the Physical and Spiritual Dimensions Paperback – March 8, 2016

Now that I am well into my senior years my lifetime reading passions have included not only the scientific but also the esoteric. Some of the more esoteric topics I have explored includes Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, time travel, energy healing, astral projections, life, death, consciousness and related topics. This is why when I saw this 163-page hardcover book, (Adventures of the soul: Journeys through the physical and spiritual dimensions by James Van Praagh), I decided to purchase it.As usual, the delivery service was great. As soon as I began reading this excellent book, I knew I would love it. The author’s ability to relate his ideas and hypothesis on the nature of the soul and what happens to us when we die are inspiring and meaningful. He gives hope for those who may fear death by relating his personal experiences. There are three parts to this book: What is soul? The Soul’s home, and how the soul lives in the physical.The nine chapters include: (Part one): Body, soul, and spirit, Consciousness, energy and he power of thought, near-death experiences, and astral projection. (Part two): Death: the doorway home, the spirit world, and reincarnation and the memories of the soul. (Part three): Your soul’s lessons, soul choices and living a soul-filled life.I found this book to be interesting, inspiring and entertaining. If you are curious about the role of the soul and how it relates to your life and death this is a book you will want to check out.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. James Van Praagh's excellent book is a real page turner. You will find it to be a helpful resource. I plan to read and reread this book. I recommend this book to everyone. Thank you, James!

I loved this book ! I love all JVP books! This one is a bit different as it goes deeply into the hereafter. We truly have nothing to fear and James started me reading again. This book is what I call "easy reading" although the topic is deep. I read this book in 2 days, since it's one of those books you can't put down! ..I'm so thankful to JVP for sharing his gift in books and in group sessions. Everything resonates with me except for one thing in which I personally disagree ..I understand his reason for stating that it is possible to return as an animal (dog) but I just disagree. I read somewhere that yes our beloved pets go to the same place as we do but at some point we as humans go higher and eventually part from them and this could be millions of years in our human terms. Since life is eternal I feel that humans stay human just as angels stay angels. think it was in a Silver Birch book but am not sure anymore. James is the first to tell us to keep what resonates and discard what doesn't ...looking very forward to his next book! Thank you James, Shirley Anni Njos

This new book by James is one of his best yet. The souls journey is so controversial and mysterious to most people and since I have been connecting with the loved ones on the other side, I find there is so much that cannot be expressed in human terms and James Van Pragh has the years of experience to do just that in the most understanable way. There are many good books by other mediums but I am most delighted with everything James writes -- he never says that his is the ONLY way and his view of that side of the veil is the ONLY one and that to me is the perfect way to share his wisdom and expertise with everyone. I think he gives wonderful guidance to those try to do our best to share our gifts with clients and I recommend his books constantly to my clients (and this one for certain) because of the comfort ihis books bring, as well as his knowledge that gives a feeling of trust in the spirit world and what happens to our soul when we return HOME.
