Wow! Don’t listen to the negative reviews. This gear is well built, sturdy, comfortable, and fits well. It is adjustable to fit around the head. It has a smaller chin strap than most others allowing for a more comfortable chin tuck during certain exercises. The straps around the head are padded. It does not move when doing side pulls. Many rings for various exercise angles. Costs a little more than others, but well worth it. I read others mentioning the Velcro giving out over time. I guess time will tell. Highly recommend!

I started having a stiff neck and decided that I'd deal with it just like a lot of other body parts - Exercise and Develop that part to strengthen and protect it.I got this rather than the much more expensive metal ring device that Iron Neck also sells now, and I don't feel any need to switch or "upgrade" (if that's Really an upgrade.)Along with this I got Iron Neck's 50 lb. bungee, and their Cynch Anchor. Don't be put off by the resistance number. This bungee can go from near zero resistance UP TO 50 pounds, depending on how far you stretch it.There's one technique I found very useful when pulling on a side ring or rotating my head under resistance. Use the hand opposite the side where the resistance band will pull to hook onto the hanging ring on that opposite side, securing it in place with that hand at the side of my head/face, to keep the harness from rotating or moving too much on my head as my neck and head movement pulls on the bungee. (I hope that was clear enough - it helps a lot.)I would definitely buy this again and highly recommend it. My neck flexibility, strength, and overall feel, has greatly improved.

The iron neck alpha is a much better value for your money than the more expensive iron neck halo devices. Because it has D rings on all 4 sides, you have the versatility to do side bending and rotational exercises in addition to the conventional forward and back motions. I know many people are used to using these harnesses with a weight attached to a chain hanging from the harness, but trust me us a resistance band attached to the d rings instead. It's a great way to rehab or build up the neck stability and strength without putting as much stress on the neck. I'm a personal trainer and I use this with a lot of my clients if they have chronic tightness or aches in their neck. It helps reduce pain and improve range of motion. I've even used it when I have a tension headache, and by balancing the tension between all the neck muscles instead of just the ones that attach to the base of the skull, my headache went away.I wouldn't say the harness is 100% comfortable or sturdy, but I don't know if any head harness can make that claim. At least I've never tried one that is completely comfortable and doesn't shift at all when using it. I can usually steady it while I'm using it by holding 1 or 2 of the D rings while doing my neck motions.I highly recommend this and would buy it again. I've bought 2 of them so I have one at home, and one at the gym. Anyone that wrestles, does Jiu Jitsu, boxing, muay thai, kickboxing, plays football or rugby, should have one of these. Or just anyone with a weak or sensitive neck should use it to improve their neck stability. Under the supervision of a medical or rehab professional, I'm sure it would be valuable to some people recovering from concussions or neck injuries too, if used properly.

It is well designed and made of quality materials.I can only give it four stars because even fully tightened it was too loose to get proper tension.It worked for hanging weights from the chin straps and using my neck to swing back and forth, which felt amazing.

Product came fast and as described. Adjustable for head size. Mostly comfortable, for me it covered my ears which I don’t like. It came with 1 head harness, 2 clips, and a material strap to put the weights on. You can adjust the chin strap, around the head, and top of head. Inside of harness is extra padded for more comfort. Overall I’d give it a 5 out of 5, since I think the ears being covered is something to get use to. Most people won’t find that a problem. Almost feels like wearing a helmet for sports or motorcycle riding, or at least last time I did either. The seller sent item in a small box with everything wrapped in a plastic sealed bag like zip lock bag. Clips also came inside of that in another ziplock type bag. A guide/ instructions of use with a free workout if you scan code was inside with another ziplock bag. I hope this helps.

I train my neck 2x a week with this (Tip: use the included strap on a cable machine for constant tension and no plate swinging). After about 3 months of use, I noticed the Velcro doesn’t hold well to where the harness slips and even falls off. So now, I have to hold it in place with my hand when using it.This, and the fact that the D rings tend to move and dig into both my ears and head, is why I say it’s incredibly uncomfortable. Just poor design in my opinion (especially as an engineer). It functions well, but is by no means easy to use in the long run.
