Received my order of 2 life-vests. Tried it on unarmed (no CO2 charge) it had enough room around neck and shoulders that wearing it will not be a problem. It is sturdy and there are videos to show how to reload the vest if indeed it inflates. as the instructions state a PFD is only good if worn. This one is comfortable

I ordered this life vest for my wife she loves the fit she more comfortable when fishing or boating. I think I order one for myself.

I bought this to use while float tubing many of Alaska's lakes (very underrated I might add) and floating the Kenai River for salmon. I feel comfortable wearing it which makes it even more likely that I will wear it every time I am on the water. Though I haven't had the opportunity to test it in real life situations (thankfully, the water's rather cold up here), I can attest to its performance from an minor mishap...while loading the raft for a salmon trip the side with the Co2/auto switch dipped into the water causing it to rapidly inflate. I am sure it would provide adequate flotation for a big guy like me had I actually been the water. Highly recommend this and would purchase again should I need a second one for friends in the future.The only downside was locating a recharge unit, most would not ship to Alaska and you have to be careful when ordering a replacement that you order the exact replacement as the clips, connectors, and water sensor are specific to this model. Following the instruction the replacement was simple and easy to install.

It’s nice very lightweight. I wish there was some way to test out the cartridge that inflates the life jacket when the Emergency String is pulled. If I had a Emergency and the cartridge Did Not Inflate the Jacket & if it took longer than 10 minutes for the boat to circle around to rescue & the water was 30 degrees Your In A lot Of Trouble!! In rough weather it would be hard to call out to anyone to tell them your jacket didn’t work. So it’s good quality & lightweight but it will not work so it has good & bad. Yes you can try to blow it up. But if I was in BIG Waves in Cold Water, it will be difficult to o blow it up manually. It would be great if there was some way to know that if in a EMERGENCY THE CARTRIDGE IS GOING TO WORK & INFLATE MY LIFE JACKET.

I just got this life vest in. I am a large person and the belt on this vest was too small. I had anticipated this possibly being a problem which is why I ordered this style of life vest. I simply added a few inches of 1" webbing to the belt area, along with the needed extra hardware. It was fine after that.Several people have made note that their vest arrived without a gas cylinder. I ordered an extra gas cylinder based on what they had said. This extra cylinder turned out to not be needed. The vest arrives with a large note saying that the vest is not armed. But there is a gas cylinder in the package. So a GAS CYLINDER DOES COME WITH THIS LIFE VEST!It's still a good idea to have an extra gas cylinder. or two.You can activate the vest either manually or it can be activated automatically. It can be converted to a Manual Only inflation life vest. I can see that this feature would be attractive to a lot of swimmers, divers, and people using performance kayaks.I haven't tested it out yet, but I only purchased it to comply with CG Regs. I can swim or float for several hours. I consider a life vest necessary for myself only if I was rendered unconscious, which could happen. So a life vest or jacket is always a good idea.This vest is Coast Guard Certified.

Great alternative to a bulky PFD. Fits over my jacket, is light weight. So comfortable I forget I have it on. I've worn it salmon fishing and can wear ti all day without it getting in my way. I only wish I would have found this sooner! I also kayak fish, but have decided to hold off on using it there since I do get wet from time to time, especially on rough days. I've been worried it might accidentally inflate if it got too wet. However, when in a boat this is the perfect PFD for me.
