I really love this Kershaw leek knife .
I thought I had lost mine and bought this to replace it. Then mine turned up again. Imkeeping this . These Kershaw leek knives are awesome . I have a farm and a kennel. I can't always use both hands to open a pocket knife, so the spring assist is great. The blade stays sharp and is easy to sharpen if need to razor sharpmess . I have owned this and the Onion chive model for over 5 years a, they are light, well balanced and open quickly with spring assist. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them And Amazon has the best price for them.

Sharp and well-made and fits nice
More than expected! Quality blade size just right for its size. Extending the blade is a little difficult for It's size I have to adjust grip each time so I can realese the blade without cutting myself. I think it is because I am not used to the size of the pocket knife. Pocket clip works well. As I pull the knife I have to re- adjust so I may open it which takes seconds too many in my opinion but again I think the size is new for me and keep be my fault. I prefer to keep knife clipped and not in my pocket. Overall this is a well made stiff

Near perfect EDC
In the photos you can see the Kershaw leek compared to my previous EDC, the SOG Twitch II. I have carried the SOG for 3 years, I absolutely love it, but I decided to look around and see if there were any knives out there that might compete for my pocket. I have looked into the leek for years but hadn’t purchased one until now. So far I really like this knife. It is affordable, the quality and durability seem good so far, and it is RAZOR sharp, it will slice anything. I tested it by slicing through sheets of paper and it made a smooth cut with no tearing. I also easily shaved some hair off my arm. The blade lock is a nice safety feature, so I don’t have to worry about it opening up in my pocket. It opens easily, and very, very quickly. The finish is beautiful. Some reviews mentioned that they had rust show up on their new knife, something I fortunately have not yet encountered. I put a light coat of oil on my knife to give it some protection, just in case. Over all I am very pleased with the Kershaw Leek. If after a few months I am still using the Leek as my EDC, and it’s still in good shape, I plan to buy a black one with a half serrated blade. If I run into any issues I will update this review.

It is a great little knife!
I have been carrying this knife pretty much daily for a decade. Yup....ten years! Perfect size and weight for front pocket carry. You forget it is there until you need it. Solid clip with great hold but not too tight. Blade comes out lightning fast and is sturdy when locked out. I like the sharp tip on the blade and the serrations make it so much more useful with popping off zip ties and whatever you need to dig into. The perfect knife for me obviously. Only down side to this knife if I have to be picky is the blade lock mechanism. It would lock sometimes by accident when putting in or out of pocket. I just removed it all together soon after I started carrying it and it never deploys accidentally so I don't think it is really necessary. Just my preference. Every two or three years I will take it apart/clean/lube as needed. You will notice it getting slower to open from pocket lint and usual little bits of crud working into the mechanism area. I recommend the all silver version instead of the black option. The black seems to get beat up and show use where the black starts chipping off (from pics I have seen). Mine still looks as good as when I bought it with just wear on the edge of the blade. Hope this review helps you!

Excellent every day knife
I love this knife and carry it daily. It’s slim enough to clip to front or back pocket without getting in the way. Auto-open is nice. It’s perfect length for daily tasks. Highly recommend. I’ve carried it for over a year and when I lost one a few months ago, I immediately ordered another!

Quality knife with quality blade..USA
There is a big difference in name brand knifes that are made in the USA and that same knife made in another country. They may be the same brand, make, and model, but the knife made in the USA will have better quality control, and much better steel in the blade. There is a reason why they make two boxs for the same knife and one says USA. Always check the metal used for the blade. While most of the knifes that are made in the USA are significantly higher price than the ones from other countries, the Kershaw Leek Black Stonewash EDC Pocketknife, 3" Sandvik 14C28N Steel Blade, was actually not that much more. I am extremely happy with the knife. The knife is solid, you can just tell when you hold it and operate the blade and blade assist. The blade is shaving sharp, and after about 2 months of light to regular use, still is very sharp. The over seas version under these same conditions, while kind of sharp, would need to be sharpened. The knife is just the right size for an EDC pocket knife or clip carry, not heavy in the pocket, thin profile, and has a blade that is still large enough for most common uses for just a good ole pocket knife. Very happy with the knife, and was well worth the small increase in price compared to its over sea counter part. The only gripe so far, is the locking mechanism. It's a small slide button on the back of the handle, and can sometimes move forward while in your pocket, by change, keys, etc., so when you pull the knife out of your pocket and try to use the blade assist function with one hand, you discover that the blade is locked. You will then have to slide the lock button back to the rear to get the blade to open. I really dislike this and wish they would have just left the blade lock off. Other wise, great knife especially for the price.

Best EDC
I've tried several different knives that were compact, easy to open, and good quality that I could keep with me all the time. This is where I stopped the search for the perfect pocket companion. The Kershaw Leek. I've carried one pretty much every day since 2017. And if I'm not carrying the leek then I have the Kershaw blur or a cryo on me. The first one I bought in 2017 is still my daily and I'm writing this review because I finally broke it. I'm very mean to my knives. They are tools and I use them to pry and to cut stuff they really shouldn't be cutting. Any who today I was trying to remove a screw that was probably 40 years old and had been painted over several times. Instead of running out to the truck to grab a flat screw driver I whipped out my knife and started prying on it. The tip of the knife broke off leaving the last 1/8 inch or so flat. Which made it much more ergonomic to remove the rest of the screws. I'll sharpen a point back on it and continue to carry it around. Once a year or so I take the knife apart and clean it out and regrease it. The opening mechanism will start to jam up or slow down when it gets junk in there. While I had it open a few years ago I removed the tip lock. I kept pulling my knife out and trying to open it only to have the tip lock engaged even tho I hadn't put the lock on. So I removed it. I've never ever had one open in my pocket. The material used it obviously very sturdy. I've cleaned fish and small game with my leek and had it submerged or wet for a couple days at a time and there is zero rust on it. The blade stays very sharp even with my repeated abuse. I've cut sheet rock, copper wires, even thin sheet metal. I've pryd (oof is that how you spell that? It looks gross) on countless objects thinking I would break the blade but never have until today. The knife is very well made I definitely recommend this knife to anyone looking for a sleek and sturdy EDC. Not only does it look beautiful but it's extremely functional and versatile. Good job Kershaw for making great products.

Great EDC & Value
Great daily carry, smooth open, great value for made in USA. Closing should be easier but for $60 I can’t complain. Highly recommend
