Revoltech 091 Vash The Stampede
Look out its the humanoid Typhoon~ Vash the stampede in all his glory translated into one of the sexiest Revoltech figures I've ever laid eyes on. The moment I saw this figure I knew I had to have it. Vash and I go way back, fond memories of watching the series on Vhs. Now to review the figure in the style I usually do, warnings, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Basic warning: Small parts, and fragile joints make this figure something kids shouldn't really play with. The figure has a ton of articulated joints and in a couple sessions of semi-rough play, will probably snap and be ruined. This figure really lends itself to more of a pose only sort of group which is something kids just can't really handle. I'd say 13+ or so. even the box says not a toy, adult collectible. Keep away from children under 3. The Good: Holy articulation and detail Batman! 26 Revoltech joints used on this figure. A lot of little ones on his coat for dynamic posing. This means almost any pose you can think of he can do, and those coat tail joints are strong and will hold any pose you put them in. The paint job is just fantastic, and so detailed I'd say this particular figure is the most detailed figure I own. He comes with 3 faces, 11 hands 1 which is holding his gun, a special effect gunshot, a special effect which attaches to his foot for motion and other poses, a rubble stand to recreate a pose or use however you see fit. A clear plastic stand with 2 revoltech joints in them for all sorts of crazy poses like aerial shots and yes the stand is strong enough to hold him in the air. An orange Revoltech box for storing parts. Now most if not all revoltech come with the same sized box, which is weird considering most of the time the accessories don't fit in it. You can store the special effect gunshot, 9 hands and 2 heads in the box but thats about it. The foot SFX is too large and well, vash needs a head and 2 hands at least. The hand with the gun attached might not fit depending on your configuration. I need to talk about the detail a little more. Holy crap is he detailed, his red duster coat is painted wonderfully with a bright red and a nice darker red for the shades. Maybe a quinacinadrone red? not sure. It's sharp though. His cybernetic arm is lovingly crafted and he even has a hand you can attach to recreate his arm gun. He has a double colored joint in his right arm at the elbow so you can still get a nice light/dark color in whichever direction you want. His shoulders hide a revoltech joint perfectly with the poofiness of his coat, a slick silver outlines the buckles and what look like bolts in the shoulders. Basically its a fantastic paint job. The rubble is also painted very well with the bullet holes receiving extra special attention. There is a peg for his foot to go into on the cement of the rubble for the pose where he is sitting on it, as well as a pose on the clear plastic stand if your doing a dynamic pose. Articulation: He has a double joint in both knees which give him a lot of flexability but the duster coat does get in the way a bit. Don't let that discourage you because the joints in the coat can be moved out of the way/detached for posing. His torso is split with 2 revoltech joints. one in his waist, and one connecting his chest. which means he can get some crazy bends. His neck/collar is on its own joint and his head is connected to that by another joint which means he gets a lot of maneuverability. A revoltech joint in each elbow, a bunch on the skirts of the coat. His hands are also made so they can be pulled out slightly from the joint to get some vertical movement from the big wrists on the coat and they hold pretty well. Example, in the sitting pose if u want his gun to point straight up in that pose u pull the hand out a little, its on a revoltech joint and just flip his hand up as high as it will go and bam, instant awesome. Vash is made for some crazy poses, just look at the images associated with the figure! Now with all that said lets move onto the bad. Bad: Not much. Really. He is super poseable and can do some crazy things. Although that sitting pose, which took me awhile to get him into is a little fragile. The stand has to be at an angle otherwise gravity will knock him over, the slightest tap can knock him over sometimes but thats about it. He is just fantastic really. OK only bad thing i can think of is he doesn't come with a box of doughnuts and a doughnut face. Ugly: your shelf without this figure. I really recommend this figure, great price for such an awesome display piece. Vash is stylized and it shows, feels like you got a living piece of animation on your shelf/coffee table/whatever.

LOVE & PEACE!
As a huge fan of the Trigun series, I was extremely excited about getting this figure. I was, to be honest, a bit leery of the price, but I can truthfully say that it was worth every penny. Pros: The figure itself is simply gorgeous. The paint job is vivid and consistent, and the details are all nailed, right down to the last button and belt strap. The amount of articulation on the figure is ridiculous; just about everything you would ever want to move on a figure can be adjusted how you wanted, and the Revoltech-style joint makes sure that the limb/body/whatever else you want to move will stay in place once you've got it where you want it. You're also given a number of options as far as faces and hands go. While I would have loved to get a face that featured a huge, cheesy smile, or a hand holding a doughnut, I still honestly can't complain about what's given in the package. You're given three different stands to go with Vash, one being a basic stand, and "rubble" stand, and a stand that allows you to make some pretty nifty air poses, should you be so inclined. Cons: I wasn't kidding when I said this figure has excellent articulation, but actually moving Vash's joints can be a little bit tricky. For example, in order to rotate his shoulder, you can't just swivel it upwards, you have to rotate the entire shoulder joint, and it's the same way for his leg/hip joints. Once you get the hang of this, it's not a big deal at all, but it's definitely something to watch out for. Along those same lines, I cannot stress enough that this is NOT A KID'S TOY. You can do a lot with the Revoltech-joint system, but it does make the figure somewhat fragile; if you're not careful while posing, you'll snap, say, an arm off with little to no effort. The only other thing I can think of that's a con is the "rubble" stand. It allows you to do some pretty cool poses with Vash sitting on the rubble, but the problem is, the figure itself is just a little too heavy, causing the whole stand to tip over. After about 30 minutes of VERY careful work, I was able to make it all work by using a little bit of the air pose stand, but even so, I'm going to have to be very, very careful I don't bump into the shelf, or anything like that. Overall, this is just a fantastic figure, and an excellent addition to the collection of anyone who enjoys Trigun, Anime, or simply collecting figurines.

Love and Pieces
Revoltech makes the greatest figures. This figure is everything I could hope for in a Vash the Stampede toy. Totally articulate; it's surprising how much this thing can pose. Terrific all around detail. It just looks freakin cool. I only have a few gripes with my figure is that I feel some of my joints were a bit loose. It doesn't prevent me from posing the figure, I just makes me feel the figure isn't very sturdy. The other problem I have with my figure is the hole in the figure's back-side for the stand joint: I have a hard time fitting it in and it doesn't seem to fit properly. I don't know if the issues I'm having are specifically my copy or maybe I'm just being too particular. Overall, this figure is fantastic.

Great figure, highly recommend it to anyone that is a fan of Trigun. The detail is great and the articulation is awesome (The coat can get in the way at times but its not too big of a problem). My only gripe with this figure is that the muzzle flare for the gun broke off and I'm not sure if its entirely my fault for that but just to be on the safe side for anyone else that intends to buy the figure, don't use the muzzle flare (It's all up to you though). Nonetheless its a great figure.

Again smaller than I felt it should have been when I ordered it, but the detail is very good!
