Keep children away from gadget screens.
Brilliant game for children to keep them away from gadget screens. I hope that there are more interesting toys and games (not on the screen) out there to keep children and parents entertained.

Brilliant & Cheap Way to Play Go, Amazon Images are Inaccurate
If you've seen the Anime/Manga Series 'Hikaru No Go' recently or in the last 20 years and you've been meaning to try and play and learn the game. Yellow Mountain provides a cheaper and compact version of the game that doesn't break your bank. How much you want to learn and play greatly depends on how far you're willing to "go" with the game. It comes with a small booklet to teach you the rules and basics. The design looks beautiful and a very clean presentation. The 'stones' when placed around after a game does give an urge to take photos because it looks like art at times. The magnets for the most time stay on the board quite well even if you do gently shakes. The board actually has letters and numbers on the board that helps you navigate the board if you're following instructions, practicing, learning or wanting to replicate games. However... - The images that I've taken look almost completely different from how it's presented on the Amazon pages. The stones look smaller and the top is flatter. - The board has numbers and letters, this is really helpful. Why this isn't shown in the provided images is quite odd. - Some of the stones have magnets not completely sticking on the board, causing some to slide off. - Playing with the stones are great for children but can be hard for adults trying to pick and place stones. - The containers while nice, easily become loose without much effort. I highly recommend getting elastic bands to keep the containers from opening. But saying this, it's still a brilliant way to get into Go. The low cost of entry, compact, magnetic are what keep this product at 4 stars. You may wish to spend some extra to get the bigger variant. Otherwise, you can definitely have some good times playing this!

A good quality travel set
A wonderful little magnetic set. This set is very well made for the price. It has a good weight to it and is sturdy. It also comes with a manual on how to play the game, which goes into more detail than simply stating the basic rules. The manual contains tips on how to think about go, as well as simple practice exercises.

It’s alright
This Go board is alright but it could be so much better. The magnets aren’t very strong, the lids on the pots of stones don’t seal shut and the board closes with the playing surfaces on the outside. Why not make it fold with them on the inside so you can keep playing at a later date? Handy for a quick game of Go though so it gets three stars from me.

Nice board, packs away small.
Not fantastic quality but good enough for the price. Unfortunately, my flatmates and I eventually got a bit bored of go. The magnet go pieces make good fridge pixel art.

Pros: -Very high bang for your buck, considering it's 18.99 with free shipping. -Board is solidly constructed, with a smooth, durable hinge, and thick, high quality plastic. Board interlocks perfectly without a hitch when opened and closed. -Board is about 15 inches square, which is much closer to a real standard board than most cheap magnetic sets, where the board is so small you have to squint to see what's going on and the smallness of the board detracts from the enjoyment of the game. -Circular indents inside board hold stone containers in place while board is closed to prevent unnecessary sliding around. You have to actually clamp the board closed with your hands as you carry it though, as there is no automatic locking mechanism, or rather, it is extremely weak (which is actually a good thing imo) -The amount of attraction between the stones and the board is absolutely perfect. It's not too strong to hinder cleanup or removing stones, but strong enough for you to move the board around (even fold it in half mid game and/or flip it upside down like you're playing on the ceiling) without the stones coming off. -The stones themselves are a good size, slightly smaller than standard stones, but much larger than the usual tiny ones that you get in magnetic sets. You can actually hold them properly between your index and middle finger, and place them, which feels good. In addition to their diameter being only slightly smaller than standard 21mm stones, they are quite thick. -The part where the stones are ripped off from the plastic frame is SANDED and smooth, so there is no annoying sharp part to cut you. I saw someone else complaining about this problem on a different magnetic board. Cons: -Some of the magnetic fillings are uneven. Some of them are sticking out by 1mm (I had only 2 of these), and some are pushed in incompletely. Sometimes you can push them in yourself, but sometimes you can't. Not really a big deal, except if you slide these stones around on the board it may scratch the laminated surface. Most of my defective stones were black. I'd say only about 2 of them were really bad, with > 1mm protrusion from being flush with the surrounding plastic, and about 5 or 6 others were very slightly uneven.
