Q: How can this be one size, age 3 to 9? That’s a massive size range.

Personally I do not think it would fit a 9 year old , when it arrived it did the job but was very cheap looking, we were disappointed, if we had had more time we would of bought a different one, I used it for my 4yr old granddaughter and it fitted perfectly.
