What stand works best for this guitar? I bought it as a gift, so pardon my lack of knowledge if this is a dumb question :)

You would probably do best with one you hang the guitar on.

Does the white turn yellow over time? Does the black satin get glossy spots from playing? Trying to decide between the two.

I believe the white is polyurethane and that it does not change color. I haven't noticed the black satin getting glossy.
