This is an item that I did not think I would be reviewing So I purchased this throne to replace a broken seat I looked at over 20 products to get some idea of what to look for and in the end, I chose this one because The description on the website was very positive and the video helped me in my choice my wife and myself are large people so we needed something a lot stronger than the one we had since moving in over 9yrs ago I liked the fact that this seat was strong and well built It arrived a day earlier than I expected and was reasonable well packaged I removed the old seat and was ready to install the new one the instructions where easy to follow and I had the new one on within 5min and they also provide you with a link to a YouTube video showing you how to install the seat if you do have difficulty with the written instructions the seat is very comfortable and feels solid and is well built so it should last for many years to come I decided to also purchase the 4yr insurance cover just for peace of mind unlike other reviewers I was happy to pay a little more to get a quality product that I could rely on this is not an item that you think of buying until you need to but I would say if your throne has seen better days you should consider getting a replacement and you cant go wrong with this product It is available in a number of different colours giving you a good choice if you want to match your bathroom I am very happy with the quality of the seat and I have no problems recommending it to others

The most important thing to me when purchasing a toilet seat is will it fit securely and not move about constantly and can it be removed for cleaning ?, yes this seat is a little more expensive than some however it is very simple to fit clamps very well to lavatory and is a breeze to remove for cleaning, it has been in use for some time there is no side to side movement and I love the soft close mechanism this is a very well made seat highly recommend.

Purchased to replace an old damaged seat. I went for a new quick release one to make it easier to clean and found this to be very quick and easy fit, and has a good slow close facility which is much better when so people don't make a noise when closing the seat.I tried out the quick release and it's extremely easy to pop off, clean and then pop back on.The wood doesn't have a "wood" feel, it's more a polished finish when I don't think is to bad as it's easier to give a quick wipe over as part of the cleaning schedule.All in all, a good product which feels worth the money spent.

I found this very easy to put on. It looks as depicted. It is easy to clean underneath the attachments before pushing the seat back into place. I have had it for a while, and it is sturdy. I would buy again.

Not fit for purpose! Had this seat 3 months ..from day 1 it wasn’t great in that the seat would come out of the fittings .. previous quick release seat I had for 7 years and worked perfectly.. this one does not .. every time you sit on the seat it comes away .. I think the rods that keep it in are too short a design fault .. so after paying over £40 ..I am going to have to purchase a new seat just 3 months latter .. very unhappy

This seemed like a really good quality toilet seat, colour was good and it felt quite sturdy. However on opening there were two fairly deep grooves/cracks on the inside of the seat that would allow moisture in and the wood would warp, so it was returned for a refund. I am considering ordering again to see if another would come undamaged as I liked the overall look of the seat.
