BFG Outdoor Tap Connector - Brass Elbow 3/4" BSP Female Rotating Coupler 360 for Garden Hose

I bought this to replace the brass 90 degrees fitting that came with my hose reel. The previous one was cheap and leaked after 18 months use. This one looks and feels better. Hope for the best.

I used this on a hose reel where the hose attaches to the reel. It was fine to start with but unfortunately after only 6 months it has started leaking from the internal washer. I dismantled it and I can see that it was made with very slim tolerances and only a tiny bit of wear on the brass shim has opened a gap in the brass body where the two parts meet which meant the washer is no longer providing an adequate seal. There is no way to repair it.

I was hoping this was going to be a good product as I needed an angled hose tap adapter that was of the swivel-rotating type.I had to send this back as after I fitted it and connected up, it started to leak initially where the quick-release hose connector fits to the outlet spigot tail - it was not fitting tightly enough and was slack. I did try another type of quick-release hose connector and this too offered not tight fitment. I feel the groove indentation just behind where the rubber o-ring is is far to long and allows for the hose to slip forward too much.Also I noticed that water began to leak through where the rotation part is - so feel this is not well made as leaks in two places.No issues with returning the item via Amazon service.

Repaired an old one (different type) kept this to use if old one needed to be replaced, was replaced no more than 3 weeks ago and this one has left my vehicle looking like a wet room, for £11.99 would have thought it would have lasted at least 12 months and not happy that I can’t send it back for a refund.

Read the reviews but thought I would take a chance and buy it anyway, I bought 2 in error but kept one for spare. the first one lasted about 2 weeks before leaking, the second only a week. Not fit for purpose.

It lasted two minutes-then a seal popped out making it totally useless ! I will not be ordering that model again! 👎

Looks good and feels heavy duty however it does not appear to be a serviceable fitting.The inner housing does not have a 10mm Allen key hex keyway and the first time I used it there were leaks from the swivel fitting. You can not access the main body of the fitting and replace the O ringsWFP window cleaners take note

Absolute rubbish, I've gone through 3 of these in 4 months, the rubber seal pops out and it sprays water all over the inside of your van, you can't even get into them to fix it, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
