Ameritex Waterproof Dog Bed Cover Pet Blanket for Furniture Bed Couch Sofa Reversible

With 4 dogs in the house, protecting my sofa is a must and this has been a lifesaver. It fits nicely on the couch and stays in place even with all the jumping, turning, and “finding the perfect spot” that my dogs do. For some reason, they absolutely LOVE laying on it. I don’t know if it’s the texture or the padding, but they choose this spot every time. It’s become their favorite place to relax. The best part? It’s truly waterproof. Accidents, wet paws, or slobber don’t seep through to the couch underneath, which gives me so much peace of mind. It’s also easy to clean and still looks great. If you have multiple dogs like I do, this is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

This pet blanket has been such a great purchase! It does an amazing job protecting my furniture/bed from fur, dirt, and little messes, and the waterproof layer really works. I love that it’s soft and comfortable for pets while still being durable enough to handle everyday use. It stays in place nicely and washes well without losing its quality. If you have pets and want something that actually protects your surfaces, this is definitely worth it!

I like this cover overall. It seems well made, is thick enough to be protective of the couch from dog claws & is waterproof, or at least heavily water resistant. The colors are very pretty & match the images shown online. I appreciate it being reversible. My issue here is I measured my couch with the ottoman pushed up to it & wanted something that would cover the entire surface. I looked for a cover that had the measurements I needed in the colors I wanted. My couch is 82" x 57" & I specifically choose the 68"x82" because I knew I'd have extra material to tuck in that way at that back. I received this, placed it out on the couch only to find I didn't quite cover. Grabbed my tape measure & it is 78" long, not 82" & only 65" wide, not 68". My biggest issue is the length, all I need was the extra 4". Beware if you need exact measurements. I have a feeling the material is measured before sowing, once seams are tuck & secured you are losing 3-4 inches. This will get used but probably as a pet cover for our bed now & I'll have to purchase something different for our couch. Edit- i had given this 3 stars due to the measurement issue &v that still annoys me, but let me just say over the last week this thing has proved itself protection wise. A few nights ago my hubby spilled pasta sauce, tomato 🤦, on this cover & it literally wiped right off with a wet paper towel & a tiny bit of dish soap. Dried with no spot. Our dog sat over in a corner of the coach licking her feet for 5mins before anyone noticed, that's all it took for a puddle to form. I was going to pull the whole thing off a wash it, I admit to being a neat freak, but I spot cleaned it with some laundry spray & all better. Then this morning I spilled coffee on the thing...oops. Good thing no 1 was home to see because I don't make messes... Ever 😂. I grabbed a damp paper towel & it wiped right off, hadn't absorbed into the cover, just headed on top. Plus it dried so fast. I upped it to 4 stars because it does do what it claims.

These are truly waterproof pads. They have a thin layer of plastic on the inside, and I know this because I cut the trim off the edges and sewed two blankets together to make a custom sized waterproof mattress cover for my special needs son's bed. They work so well for that purpose that I plan to make another. They are of good quality, they do not stretch. They are not actually quilted in the way most people probably expect, but the design serves its purpose because the lining inside does not bunch up. They wash well and do not shrink. They are made of some kind of polyester material, it is soft but thin so if your dog likes to dig they might not hold up to that.

I always look for a product that is waterproof to cover an ottoman that my cat, for some reason, likes to pee on. Before I even put any waterproof cover on the ottoman, I put a tight-fitting waterproof cover on it first (because the current cover I was using was supposed to be waterproof, but the urine always went through it and directly onto AND into the ottoman). Then I would have to pull out my "Green Machine" to wash the ottoman, which is a lot of work trying to absorb the urine and get the smell out. Please excuse me mentioning another product but FYI "Angry Orange" is an amazing product and is an excellent addition for washing dog beds, covers or whatever needs a little extra help for smelling good and removing the urine smell. It's a concentrate (and smells like oranges), so you just put a few drops in with your liquid detergent. It's awesome! So, I bought this throw, put it on the ottoman and then waited for the cat to pee on it eventually. She didn't disappoint me. She peed on it and THIS COVER DID WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO. It is absolutely waterproof. Nothing went through it and the tight-fitting cover beneath was NOT wet and did NOT have any smell on it. I WAS THRILLED! FINALLY, SOMETHING THAT IS TRUE TO IT'S WORD!!!!! But here was my problem… because the urine didn't leak through, it sat on top of the cover so when my cat peed on it in one of the corners of the ottoman, it ran down the side of it and onto the floor. So, this cover won't be good for the ottoman, but I still truly recommend this product, because it does work! I had not taken into consideration that the urine would sit on top of the cover. Had the urine not run down the side and onto the floor, my dog would have jumped up on ottoman eventually to lay on it and look out the window and could have laid in the urine. Not everyone is dealing with the cat pee situation and will be using it for normal circumstances, so this really could work well for you. I love the material and how it looks so clean and neat. I will still be using this cover on a small couch that is designated "the dog's couch" which I keep covered at all times. I don't want "the wet spot" from him licking his paws, etc., or any hair and possible doggy smell going directly on the couch. This way, I can wash and dry the throw, put it back on the couch and everything stays smelling great. By the way, this washes and dry's really well and quickly. If you’re looking for a cover something so regular spills don’t soak into your couch, bed or whatever, this cover is PERFECT. If it’s to cover a piece of furniture that your cat likes to pee on, then it might not be for you because of the urine sitting on top of the throw. All in all, it’s a great product and I'm going to buy another one to have on hand. I apologize for the lengthy review, but this is the kind of information I look for when reading a review on an item I want to buy.

So far very good dog blanket hair can be vacuumed/ shaken off very easy scratch proof so good even bought them for caravan, luv them.

I have a cat that vomits, and this blanket has been amazing protecting my couch. Easy wash and quick dry.

We are very happy with the quality and functionality of this blanket. Great for our dog to sleep on at the end of the bed.
