What do you need to know about your air cleaner
There was not any problem with the product, there are a few things that you must know about using this tube assembly for an 8N. If your air filter has an outlet that this pipe/tube attaches to it must be on a 45° angle towards the carburetor. On my 8N, the tube coming out of the air filter/cleaner was vertical and this tube assembly would not work. There may have been a couple of different varieties of air cleaners/filters so it would be best to check first and make sure your air cleaneroutlet towards the carburetor is at a 45° angle to the air cleaner/filter itself.

Have to customize
I had to make it work on my 1948 8n. Wasn’t correctly shaped. If you trim about an inch off each end of the tube and man handle it, it will go in

Not an exact fit for my 8n
Looked great. Wrestling it into place, not fun. I got it in eventually. With the help of many beers, a few f bombs, hammers and screwdriver it all worked out in the end. Now my 1950 8n has 1 shiny new part!
