Metal Body Stapler
Yes these are as advertised, Metal Body.... I have rarely gone through staplers but since the plastic bodies came into play, I have been going through 2-3 a year... I am hopeful these new metal body staplers will hold up... works smooth and great so far... Very Happy with My Current Purchase...

The Swingline Model 444 Stapler is Very High Quality at an Excellent Price
The staplers I received have the same consistent high quality as my probably 30-year-old Swingline Stapler. The new ones use the same staples. I no longer have to wander about the house looking for the old one, which is always in the last place I used it. Now I can mix it up a bit and spend 1/3 the time looking for one.

A great classic.
This classic stapler is still the best, in my opinion. Thankfully it is metal, doesn't jam, and uses easily. It has a lever on the bottom so it can be used for tacking, and the bottom plate can be shifted so that the edges of the staples curve inward or outward. It also has a small opening on the side so that you can see when it is running out of staples. Although I haven't tried it, on the box it states that it securely staples 20 sheets.
