Quirky Pluck Yolk Extractor

Haven’t used it yet. But it looks like it’s going to work great. It arrived early.

I love this egg yolk extractor. It is as quirky as the company that makes it.It is made of two pieces: a white rubber top shaped like an egg (because it's an egg extractor, get it, get it?), and a clear hard plastic bottom piece, which fit together. Young children, or anyone, can easily recognize its intended use solely from its design.Using it is simple:• Crack an egg into a bowl.• Place extractor directly on top of the yellow yolk, and squeeze carefully to suction the yolk inside. Use the clear end to "cut" and separate it from the clear part (whites).• Squeeze again to extract the yolk onto whatever bowl/dish you're preparing.That's it. If you are between eggs, it is flat on the white side so you can place it on the counter without getting the opening dirty, while you get your next egg—brilliant. To clean, take the two pieces apart and hand wash them; wash them right away to prevent anything drying up inside the white upper piece. If there should happen to be dried up egg in it, you can use your finger to rub it off under running water.This is a great yolk extractor. It's cute, simple, and effective. Recommended.

Our family started to be on diet for sometime and using only egg whites. I have been using for a month and taking the time to write a review. This is the 4th item i brought to separate the whites. All others use gravity to separate and do not work at all and also time killers. This product uses suction and it is very efficient. Saves a lot of time and one of the best products if not the best one to separate egg whites.

Cute design, good idea, but I still believe the old fashion way works better when you just use the egg shell itself. My boyfriend and both like this product but just be careful because its has a soft plastic piece and a hard plastic piece and when you squeeze to hard the product easily comes apart. I could do without it but it is a cute and simple gadget for the price. If used properly it works but be gentle!

This thing would work great for picking up many yokes out of a bowl.I used it only briefly, because its just a pain to wash this thing for ONE or two egg yokes.I'm buying one of the spiral stainless spoon types....a quick rise and swipe with a soapy brush and its clean.This thing you have to take apart and basically stick your finger inside. The plastic nozzle occasionally wants to slip out with too much egg in it...but it does work well if you want to separate a BUNCH of yokes for baking.

Bought this for the lady that works in my companies cafeteria. I order egg whites almost every morning as does a few other people I eat with. We got sick of making her do the extra work so grabbed one of these. I used it once at home and broke one of out 6 yolks so I figured it was okay but not amazing.It might have just been me though as she has been using it for close to a month now and raves about it at least twice a week.If I get another for home ill get one of these because of how enthusiastic she is about it.

Our healthy minded family only eat egg whites. This little gadget has made removing the yolk second nature. In a small bowl, I crack open all the eggs a family member is going to eat, for example, the hubby eats four egg whites, and I take the "pluck" I place it over the yolk, one by one and gingerly squeeze it to picks up the yolk, I tip it on it's side to let the whites fall back into the bowl and wala I end up having pure egg whites. The first time I used it I broke the joke as I squeezed too hard. But you get the hand of it right away. I use it every day and I find its worth the $ and the effort. If eating egg whites is your thing, this is a must!

I thought this was a brilliant idea, and made more sense to me than a water bottle that's impossible to clean and may leach stuff into the eggs. But no matter how gentle I am, some egg yolks just break on the way in, so I end up wasting about 30% of the eggs I try to separate. Also, the thick membrane of the white often clings to the yolk, and I have to move the yolk around in the extractor and often pull out the excess white, which is just as messy as using the shells. I read about something called the Yolkfish which is another option, but I may just stick with the shells from now on or try a classic dish separator and avoid the waste.

Was sending back cause it was opened and resealed -BUT...decided to try it because I couldn't return it and it works just great - actually glad I kept it.Really is a good product and easy to clean.

Didn't like much ...it's not upto my expectations....

Good product... I am still using it after two year...Very easy to use... You can easly pick-up the yellow portion from white yok. You can also check the fake egg with it.. yellow portion of egg get dammaged while lifting, if the egg is fake or bad quality.
