By far best reel I have ever owned
I bought this reel not expecting much. I actually bought it to distinguish my other reels from this one, because of the color and I have different reels for different types of baits that I throw. When I got this reel adjusted I swear I have not backlashed this thing once. I have never seen a smoother throwing reel. I am very impressed. I am using h20 24 test line and i have never seen a reel that throws so well and with no back lash. I highly recommend and it’s a nice color too I have even gotten complements on the unique color.

Surprisingly impressive and very good quality baitcasting reel
I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this baitcasting reel and with how well it worked. I'm still a noob when it comes to baitcasters, this is only my second one, my first one was a cheap Shakespeare rod and reel combo that cost $30 all together, and this reel is a thousand times better than my Shakespeare setup. It's very smooth, it has great 11 magnet, I think it is, brake, easy to adjust spool tensioner and drag adjuster. I forget the gear ratio for this reel, but they are great to, you have total control in how fast or slow you want to reel, and it is dead silent. The spool is good, nothing super fancy, no ports or holes in the spool, and I had no problems at all spooling 30lbs braided line on it, it didn't slip on me and I was able to get a nice tight spool, and I didn't have to use mono to start spooling. Adjusting the brake and spool tensioner was easy, like I said I'm still new to baitcasters and I only birds nested 3 times the entire week I was there, twice it was my first cast after changing lures, I made the proper adjustments, I just wanted prepared for the difference after loosening the magnets, and the 3rd time my lure got snagged on my back swing on a life jacket that someone hung up on my tower to dry out at the end of the day and forgot to take it down. This reel held up great to, especially for wut I payed, I purchased it on Prime day for like $30 I think and I was leaving for vacation that weekend, shipping was very fast, arrived in 2 days with plenty of time to spare before I left for vacation, a one week trip to Bass Lake, California. If ur not familiar with Bass Lake its near Yosemite and it's where they filmed that movie, The Great Outdoors, fishing is usually great there and this reel held up great. I caught about 10-12 Bass, mainly just 1-2 pounders, nothing special, with my largest catch being a 4-5 lbs large mouth bass. Overall this is a great baitcasting reel for a beginner or an experienced angler, my cousin only uses baitcasters for the past 10+ years and I let him try this one out and he was very impressed with this reel, he said he couldn't tell a difference between this and his Abu Garcia, his Lews, or his shimano baitcaster reels, he said it performed just as good if not better and honestly I think that's probably one of the best compliments you can say about a less expensive "budget" reel like this. I will definitely buy more Sougayilang products, as long as their quality is as good as this reel. I would highly recommend this reel

Test it
Haven't used the reel yet. But upon 1st impression it should work well. It's small, light, reels very smooth, release button and reengage work well. The instant anit reverse works, but isn't exactly perfectly instant, there can be felt a tiny slack, but no more than many others and for price it's great. Also when reeling, the action is very quiet and smooth, but there does seem to be a little "slop" in it. I can here the slack and feel it, but nonetheless it reels very easy and smooth. I will update the review later after some use.

Breaks easily
It was ok for about 5 casts, then things went wrong. Magnetic breaking system locked up, and the line speed dial wouldn't adjust to different lures. It is only good for soft plastics

Very nice and unique colored reel.
This is a very nice reel for the price, very smooth and quiet. Its very easy to adjust and dial in. Casts are very easy and consistent.

It’s a good effort towards trying to be a high end reel. However, it comes up short.
For the price…It is an ok reel. The bearings, drag, and spool are all smooth. The spool tensioner is nice & works well. The issues with this reel is they tried to make it to high end for the price point. That is where it all goes wrong. The double adjustable magnetic break system on this was terrible, maybe others have had better luck. I adjusted both to zero to set my spool tension. Then adjusted the magnetic breaks….I ended up adjusting both to max. Only there was zero magnetic breaking. I’m not sure if the magnets were cheap or bad….either way worthless.I ended up returning my reel within 3hrs of receiving it. With such a terrible magnetic breaking system I knew I was going to screw up occasionally and end up having to cut out birds nest…with power pro at $15 a spool….the reel was going to end up costing me significantly by having to replace line.IMO…if you are on the fence….nobody wants that bait caster around that the thumbing master of the group has to run. Or trying to get a bad birds nest out sitting on your kayak. It’s a crap shoot on getting one with good breaks.

Casting
I bought this for my nephew who needs a hobby. I put good line on it and set the casting for about 3/8 onze weight. Man this is awesome. I'm gonna get me one too. The price is great for any gift idea if not spending a lot of money and the reel is just too good for my expectations. I'm impressed. I've got many much more expensive reels, but would use this if i could only pry it from his hands. Cast far, no backlash, easy adjustment, nice big cranck-handle. Set up is so smooth. Very quiet. I'm gelous of his cool gift. Now if he will only use it and get off the sofa.

Product quality and reliability.
Out of all the reels I have bought from Amazon this one is the best bang for my buck. I have returned a few reels but this one 👌 has my quality approval. from the weight to the line capacity. to the drag strength to the drag knobs. and casting smoothness and spool interchangeable is also outstanding. Not sure if I would change the handle to a big game handle . but this product is 9 out of 10. excellent product folks.
