Decent cheaper option for an SSD
Works exactly as advertised. No complaints so far at all.

A nice upgrade for an old pc
I used this to upgrade an oldish loser acer nitro suckface edition desktop that I am going to be giving to my wife for her use. I used some cloning software to move the preinstalled 5400rpm laptop hard drives data(might be why that desktop was on clearance as this was its only hd), to this so very much faster nvme ssd. Boots and is usable in seconds rather than minutes. The price was right too while on sale at $47. It has been very stable, though only had it for less than two months and only home to use it for about two weeks of that. I think she will definitely like the performance of this with a larger monitor, over using just a cheap laptop for her surfing and blogging needs.

Works for my 2015 MacBook Air!
I bought this along with an adapter from Sintech so it would work in my Macbook Air. Yes these regular nvme ssds will work in a MacBook as long as its the correct year. My original ssd had 900 mb/s write and 1300 mb/s read speed. This new ssd is giving me 1300 write and read roughly. I didn't buy this ssd because it was super fast. My MacBook is older and based on forums I was reading I decided it wasn't worth buying a super fast ssd because I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the fast speeds. I'm not even taking advantage of the max speed of this ssd so I saved a lot of money. I needed extra storage so this was perfect. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this. Make sure you create a bootable usb to reinstall Mac OS if you buy it. Boot by holding down option and you will be able to see your bootable usb and then you go into disk utility and you will need to format the new drive and then you can install Mac Os. My Mac recognized the drive as soon as I formatted it. Recovery doesn't work. I've seen others buy these adapters to clone the drive but it doesn't seem necessary to me. Just back up your Mac to time machine and after you get your Mac up and running you can restore it. The link to the adapter is below if interested. If you just do basic stuff on your computer then this will be fine.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CWWAENG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

seems good enough
seems to work as advertized. Just plugged it in my linux box. Formated ext4. move $(HOME) onto it. Getting about 1.4GB/s of write bandwidth. Seems close enough to advertised performance.Assuming it doesn't die in 2 months, seems good enough

Easy upgrade for Macbook Air Early 2015
I had a 13 inch Macbook AIr Early 2015 model running macOS 12.5 with 8GB RAM and a paltry 128GB SSD. I purchased this PNY CS1030 500GB SSD, installed it into a SSK SHE-C325 NVMe USB C enclosure, attached it to the Mac, and used Carbon Copy Cloner 6 to perform a "Legacy Bootable Copy" to the drive. Then I opened up the Mac and swapped the SSD (using an Macbook-NVMe adapter for the new drive to get it to fit) and it worked like a charm. Came right up, saw the extra space etc.Sequential write speeds with the stock 128GB drive were ~300MBps write and ~1100MBps read. With the new drive they're ~1100MBps write and ~1300MBps read.I will say that if your Mac doesn't see the drive after installing it, double check that you seated it properly. Try to remove it and reseat it and really make sure you push it in firmly all the way. The SSD plus adapter is pretty long and when fully seated I couldn't tighten the retaining screw all the way down. But it was still snug and I was able to button up the machine without issue.

A great budget drive for gen 3 slots.
I originally bought it for my older laptop before getting a new one about 3 years ago and sticking it in as a secondary drive in the new one. It still runs strong to this day and will probably transplant it into the new desktop I'm building. It's still plenty fast with only large files 50+gb taking awhile to duplicate on the same drive. For copying a lot of smaller files it is still very fast. Reading the steam library is also still fast for being gen 3. It's a good workhorse and definitely got my money's worth out of it.
