The food stand is right height for a dachshund. I am happy with it as my baby doesn't need to bend her head down too much. Love the beige color and the stainless steel bowls are small and cute sufficient for a small breed dog.

Sturdy but plastic
The stand is made of plastic. So if your cat has skin breakout problems from plastic, please watchout for signs, although the bowls are made of stainless steel.
