Great tripod for travel
My favorite tripod! Great value for money. Higher quality than some at the same price point. Works perfectly as advertised. Nice and light, but also pretty solid. Not as stable as some, but you can hang a bag from the hook to help stabilize. High quality product for sure.

Great Travel Tripod
I have several tripods ranging from heavy duty Manfrottos to compact no-name ones; but nothing I own was convenient for traveling and hiking. I decided to order a few tripods claiming to be lightweight and sturdy, but after going through about 10 of them, this is the only one I found that lived up to the claim (within a $100 budget). It is really light and based on how it folds up, it fits perfectly in the tripod holders on all of my camera and hiking bags. My typical load out is a Canon 1Dx with a 35-250mm L series lens. Total weight is around 8 lbs and I have not had any problems with the head. It has held the camera firmly in place, especially if I mount it at the lens. Now, the legs are thin when fully extended so you have to make sure you have tightened all the sections well and you are firmly planted. And because they are thin, they are likely more susceptible to shake or vibration so this may not be the best solution if you shoot in low light. It is much sturdier at mid height though. All-in-all, this is a great tripod and I recommend it.

4+ years of trouble free use
After 4 years of use I can attest to the build and usability of this tripod. Unlike my previous travel tripod, which had legs that were hard to deploy, the Sirui 7C has release clips that are both easy to access and allow the release of the locked legs. The tripod folds up to a very small size, yet can be extended for those times where height is needed. I have used the 7C extensively on the beach and in the mountains. Being so light, I don't mind taking it along.

Light but stable
I bought this tripod as a second one to replace a much older tripod that lost a leg! Sirui seems to make good tripods, I have another one that's carbon fiber with lever locks which I still use. This one was to be mounted to a star tracker for milky way photography. It's a little smaller and lighter than my other tripod but still stable and just as well made. The only negative thing I can say is that I was unable to remove the ball head to mount the tracker directly to the top of the tripod. I'm guessing they used a strong threadlocker and it's not worth heating it up and potentially melting something, so I just mounted the tracker onto the ball mount via a mount plate.

Great Travel Tripod
I shoot a lot of nature and shaving even a pound off of a tripod helps immensely when hiking miles up a mountain to get a single shot. This tripod is almost a full 2 pounds lighter than my last "travel" tripod. It's pretty sturdy, esp when you add a sand bag underneath. Sturdiness declines the more you extend the vertical top section, i would keep it all the way down if you can. Pro tip: keep an empty photography sand bag in your backpack and fill it with rocks, gravel, or sand when you get to your location. Then dump it out when done. No need to hike with all that weight. I love that it's small enough to fit in the water bottle pouch of most backpacks. So even if you don't have a fancy camera bag you can still pack this easily.

Tripod = Good, Customer Service = Not Good
EDIT: After 2+ weeks, the missing pieces arrived. I was told that the reason for the lapse in communication was due to my emails going to their spam folder. This doesn’t track as we’d exchanged emails already. Why would it go to spam during an active conversation? Plus, I’d been communicating with two of their email addresses. I’m happy it’s been resolved. The tripod is great. I’m changing the review from 2 to 3 to be fair but also in hopes that this doesn’t happen to someone else. For clarity, my rating is based on customer service and not the product. My tripod was delivered on 9/15. I opened it up and got ready to mount my camera. That's when I noticed that the Arca Swiss mounting plate wasn't in the box. I went back and checked the listing, and it was supposed to come with it. I started down the Amazon customer service path, and it looked like I wouldn't have the option to just get the missing piece but would have to return it. I specifically got the tripod to shoot astrophotography that weekend due to a new moon. So, I went to the Sirui website for help. I contacted customer support and got a response within a few hours. I was told I had the wrong email address, and they provided the correct one that is associated with Shopify/Amazon. By the time that I sent that email, I had started watching YT videos and realized that I was also missing a strap and three spiked feet. I contacted Sirui using the provided email and provided the additional detail about missing the strap/spikes. I was told that it appears that Amazon may have shipped me a return that didn't have all the pieces and that they could ship me a new one or give me a $15 credit. I was also told that the 7C didn’t come with the strap/spikes and to check the website. I checked the website and the spikes/strap are listed (and pictured). I emailed back saying that I’d take the credit as I’d already purchased a replacement plate so that I could use the tripod. I sent them the link to their website verifying what comes with the tripod. And that’s when the replies stopped. I waited a couple of days and contacted them again. I then waited a couple of more days and sent them another email. I then contacted the original email address asking for help as I believed I was being ghosted. And that’s where I am 9 days after getting the tripod. I’ve been using the tripod with the plate I bought and sans the spiked feet. It works well. I just wish they’d resolve this. I have the emails to support what I've written in this review.

This is the second Sirui 7A tripod that I have bought after the first broke following many years of use - though am still hoping to get it fixed. The tripod is strong and yet compact and light enough to travel with. I also find the monopod option to be very useful and use that when doing certain types of photography. I certainly recommend this tripod as it is what I use on a regular basis.

Assolutamente consigliato.
