one of the drawbacks of having a road bike is they don't come with a kickstand. Installed this on my specialized allez; it supports the weight no problem but i dont want to over tighten the clamp on the carbon rear fiber fork

I needed to add some locktite on the threads to keep them from slowly backing out. The product could be improved with locking threads or a lock nut so something similar. The kickstand works great and is light weight and not in the way at all in my Specialized gravel bike. I have used this for about 1 year now.

I understand this product is designed to support the weight of a bike, and nothing more. This bike isn't stored in a museum. This kid weighs maybe 90lbs. Throws a leg over the bike with the kickstand down. Fails immediately and catastrophically. Cheap metal, not much of it.If you've got a kickstand on your bike, you're probably not too worried about a few grams here and there - look elsewhere to find something that can tolerate a real world load.

Great product. Solve my bike problem

It was nicely put together and the rubber foot looked like it would support a good sized bike.But the "universal mount" approach didn't work. The leg twisted around on the lower bracket, no matter how I tightened it up. There is no resistance, except a bit of friction, to prevent the leg from twisting on the bracket. It seems like the bracket limbs would need to be rectangular in cross-section, not oval, in order to prevent the twisting.
