In built obsolescence
Fine till it stops working after a month or two, intentionally designed so you can't open it to repair any loose connection or clean it. Returning.

Finally, a great quality VGA to SVideo adapter.
This unit, is wonderful. It outputs a very nice and clean signal. Build quality is very good. I am using this adapter for my MiSTercade project, and works perfectly. No shimmering, no color blending, no mistaking of luma for color, nothing. Its beautiful. I can not believe my eyes, but it is true. I am so happy. I have bought many cheap VGA to Svideo adapters, and I have had so many issues with them. Lesson here, is dont cheap out. Save yourself time, and get this StarTech adapter. Thank me later.

Was not impressed.
There was noticeable lag when Melee from PC to CRT. I'll try the more expensive one next.
