Q: Does anyone know what case can 100% top mount the 420mm AIO without any clearance issue?

I’ve used the 420mm in the be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 and the Fractal Design Meshify 2. You can also go on Newegg to their computer cases and you can filter all of the results for top mounted radiators that will fit whatever size you need and it’ll sort any case that can fit this at the top, front, side, or whatever you decide to filter the results as.

Q: Is the coldplate flat, concave or convex?

Yes, it's as flat as they can make it. I hope I never see a concave or convex coldplate.

Q: does the pump come with an AM4 backplate for the mobo?

It does not come with a backplate but the stock one will work just fine.
