I've ordered medjool dates from Amazon before and I love them. But I ordered 4 pounds of these dates, thinking they'd be soft and as fresh as the other brand I had bought. These dates were a huge disappointment. From the day I received them, they were dry and hard and had a whitish coating on the outside of each date. I dont know if I got a bad batch or if this is standard for this brand. They were nothing like the other brand I had bought on Amazon. I would not purchase these again.**EDIT: When the manufacturer read my review, they offered a full refund. They did not request any changes to my review. However, I felt it is only right to report the fair treatment by the manufacturer.

I love Medjool dates but it can be hard to find in store near me. I tried several other brands and was left very disappointed. As a last ditch effort I gave this brand a try and I must say these are very high quality, caramel tasting dates. They are so soft that the pits remove extremely easily… Do not let the fact they are not pitted distract you from purchasing. I highly recommend. No rotten dates.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and dates are said to help move along contractions. Well, I'm not sure if they will work for that reason but they are tasty! I went through the 1lb bag in 5 days. They helped with my sweet tooth and keep my full. The bag was fresh sealed, all the dates were tasty and sweet. I already ordered 2 more bags.

The Amazon description is faulty. I thought I was ordering pitless dates. The first paragraph says they are without pits but further down it says they have a small pit. Naturally they cannot be returned and I am stuck with them.

I used them for a recipe I created for liquored fruit cake. Came out great.

Love this product, dates are humongous and sweet as expected. Great for trail mixes, oatmeal or just plain 3pm sweets.

Good dates. Good packaging. Saved trip to Trader Joe's for dates.
