A lot of pedal for the money - effects/looper/tuner/amp modelling
Our 11 year old daughter is a keen musician, playing guitar and keyboards, and we wanted a fun all in one versatile pedal that she could use. We had previously picked up a few second hand effects pedals of varying quality but this seemed to do everything we wanted and more. The pedal can be a little daunting at first, and a careful read of the manual is a must. There's a number of decent presets built in (which they call tones) which work as a perfect starting point before you go and customise your own effects etc - you are well covered for all the usual stuff like delay, reverb, chorus, flanger, pitch shift, vibrato etc.Looping is dead easy via the two foot switches and will record for up to 40 seconds, and you can then play along or overdub this loop. When working with a tone preset you can enter edit mode to change parameters and then save this for future use. There's a jam machine mode with built in drum patterns to play along to, which are split into various styles and can be adjusted for tempo. You can combine the drum machine and loop to make a backing track to then play over. The pedal has a couple of uses, so not just wah or volume but it can be assigned to one of the effect parameters in the edit mode.Next are the amp and cab modelling. I'll be honest and admit I don't know how accurate these are, but all the usual suspects (Marshall JCM800, Vox AC30 etc) are covered here along with 12 different cabinet models. That's still not all though as you've got a tuner, noise gate and a graphic eq (as well as stuff I've probably forgotten). It's impossible to fault this for the price as it just packs so much in. The effects sounds really good to my ears, and whilst I'm sure that you can get better by spending more on individual pedals, this provides everything you need in one small package.

Great fun and value, packed with features.
The media could not be loaded. My son is a keen guitarists and wanted a loop pedal for ages. This effect pedal is a perfect to get some great sounds going and rock like a band solo. The pack includes a 3pin uk power supply and instruction manual. The looper can take 6 aa batteries or can run off the mains. Also a few plecs which is nice. You plug your guitar into the 3 pedal looper and then plug the looper into an amp or powered amplified speaker. You can also plug in earphones directly into Looper or even an mp3 or recording device. You can use the jam studio and all the preset sounds or record your own using your guitar. The effects and sounds have lots of levels and rhythm. The full colour KCD digital display is clear and with a little practice adjusting all the nobs and volumes will be easy. The device also has tuner. It's well built, with so many great festures and excellent value.

Not easy to use takes time to figure everything out
I brought this as a beginner guitarist and wasn’t easy to set up don’t get me wrong the preset’s are ok but to get the most out of this and that sound you are looking for you need to program it the instructions weren’t easy to follow but after a few weeks off fiddling around and a few YouTube videos I finally got there. For the price and what you actually get I would definitely recommend but don’t plug it in and think your going to sound like a rock god incidentally it take some time to file in that sweet tone

Wah-wah and then some…
Initially used batteries and it would appear that the AA rechargeable ones by EBL are fractionally larger than the usual ones, so they were a really tight fit and I wasn’t able to close the battery compartment lid successfully, so used sellotape. There are so many presets on the MG-100 that it’s hard to find one that you don’t like. At the push of a button you can sound just like Black Sabbath and there are plenty of others including quite a few metal FX to choose from. The application pedal distorts the signal much the same as a Wah, which is what I originally intended to get, until I stumbled across the MG-100. I’m sure there are other multi-effects pedals available, that probably cost a bit more, but I will be happy to use and experiment with this for some time to come.

Rather Underwhelming
I liked the idea of the product, however I was quite underwhelmed when using it. Expected it to be a hidden gem kind of pedal, however it sounded poor and seemed to lack bass. The instructions were unclear so I had no clue how to use half the functions. The screen and graphics seemed about as modern as a dot matrix printer. Overall I would say go for a better known brand of pedal, or if you’re just looking for a specific effect/function, get that specific pedal. If this item was £20-£30 cheaper I would say that it’s worth it all the way, however this just seemed a bit too poor to warrant the price.

Horrible
The best part of this pedal is the coloured screen. For something designed to be kicked around the floor and stood on I can't see this lasting more than 30 minutes. The 'wah' pedal can't be calibrated and is either on or off, and I can't see what type of mechanism it uses for the rocker.Don't bother with this...if you're on a budget get the Zoom pedal, or splash a little more cash and get the Boss GT1-B.
