I like this book. Excellent exercises and it is helping me to play better and to remember the notes and fingerings in third position.

I used this book when I was in high school & developing my shifting confidence. Now I use it with my students (violin & viola) and still think its great. I don't necessarily do every single exercise, but the variety of keys, rhythms, bowings, and of course positions used are great for me & my students.

Our music teacher wanted this book. We got it.

Well designed book for an easy transition to 3rd position fingering. It has been recommended by my son's Viola teacher and a few others.

A really good book for teaching the positions. Also good if you simply want to solidify technique as a less than beginner.

Standard position etudes. Worked through over a long period of time in small doses it gives the repetitions needed to develop secure shifting habits.
