Great book for Hill Country vegetation
This is going to be a great reference guide. I like that it is for a limited area of Texas. I have already been able to use it to identify a "weed" on our property that I didn't know the name of and found out that it can have some uses in a natural landscape. Also, I have identified an oak tree there that I didn't know of before. Great book.

excellent overview.
Nice photos, text is straight forward. Good common sense suggestions in making landscaping decisions. Kindle edition is especially nice with note taking ability. Wish we could copy photos and text to place in other documents.

A very informative book with great pictures to really tell which plant you are looking at. We have taken it on walks around the ranch to be able to identify them.

Good reference guide and more
So good a friend of mine who does landscaping work borrowed it and has yet to return it. Good photos and sound ecology.

Very useful book.
The book is very informative and interesting. It has been very useful to me in planning my wildlife preserve work. The only thing I have found is some plants missing or I can't recognize them. I would certainly recommend the book to anyone who wants to increase their knowledge of trees, shrubs and vines in the Texas Hill Country.
