Cuisinart SCO-60 Deluxe Electric Can Opener, Stainless Steel

I purchased as I have other Cuisinart products and like it. At first it’s bigger than I thought, taller than my other model, and heavier. It feels solid and industrial, rather than plasticky which is good. It does come with a US plug, and its US voltage. This was not mentioned or realised until I received it. So if to work in the UK may need a voltage converter, not a travel plug. I’m told this should work. The seller was also very good with communication and being helpful which is a bonus.

I bought this specifically because it was recommended for elderly people. I bought it for my 91 year old mother in the UK, but it has a UK plug. How do I explain to my mother that she now has to go out and buy an adapter, even though I bought it on a UK site?!!

If I could give a negative star I would! The can opener was an American product with the wrong voltage and wrong plug (not that that matters!). I cannot understand why Amazon UK wastes our time listing it. Avoid like the plague!

Order was cancelled due to wrong voltage for Australia although advertised on Australian website. Refund was processed promptly.

It works well also with larger cans, which is very helpful

We have been using the Cuisinart SCO-60 can opener for a couple of months now, anything I've thrown at it, it opens with ease. This opener has power, it's smooth, and is pretty quiet. A great value.
