Great product
Good amount of product for the price. Dissolves well and works great in my serums.

Sweet!
For the price this can't be beat. I make my own vitamin C serum on a weekly basis and this bad boy is going to last me forever!! It is not a fine powder!! I know others have said that they have issues with it not dissolving fully in water because of the larger crystal size and I've encountered this as well. I have a nutribullet with the milling blade. So... I milled this to a finer powder (not super super fine though) and still had some issue with it dissolving fully. If you use hot or warm water, this stuff dissolves instantly and won't recrystallize. So just nuke your water for 30 seconds in the microwave. I think if I were to repurchase I wouldn't bother with milling it and just use warm or hot water to dissolve the crystals. I am particular to L Ascorbic acid over other forms of vitamin C since I've seen the best results with post acne hyperpigmentation. I have used L-Ascorbic acid by simply mixing the powder into my sunscreen, lotion, body lotion, or just added it to water. If you have ever used Philosophy's Turbo Booster C Powder it's just 99.9% L-Ascorbic acid powder with a ginormous markup ($39/ 0.25 oz). Why waste your money? For making my weekly Vitamin C serum I like to use rosewater- don't know if it actually helps with anything, but I love the smell. I use 2 teaspoons of vitamin C powder and 4 teaspoons of microwaved rose water then I test this with a pH strip!!. This makes an approximate 20% solution. The pH is usually around 2 pH. This is too acidic and you'll likely wind up with irritated red/flaky skin. I adjust the pH to around 3-3.5 pH using baking soda. I add teeny tiny increments and test using pH strips till it gets to the 3-3.5 pH range. I haven't had any skin irritation issues with this adjustment and the results are great. I find using a vitamin C serum prevents hyperpigmentation and minimizes my acne. Whenever the solution starts to tint yellow or orange it's time to throw it away. It means it has oxidized and will cause adverse skin reactions if used- so don't. What I make lasts me about a week with daily use. Definitely worth a purchase!

Potent DIY Vitamin C Powder for Brighter, Healthier Skin
I’ve been using the 100% Pure L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) Powder for a few weeks now, and it’s been a game-changer in my skincare routine. Mixing a small amount with my favorite serum creates a fresh, potent vitamin C treatment that leaves my skin looking brighter and more even-toned. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the overall texture and radiance of my complexion. One thing to note is that the powder can be a bit grainy and doesn’t always dissolve completely, which might be a concern for those with sensitive skin. However, by adjusting the concentration and ensuring it’s well-mixed, I’ve been able to minimize any irritation. The value for the price is excellent, especially considering the quality and effectiveness of the product. Overall, this vitamin C powder has become a staple in my skincare arsenal, offering customizable and powerful antioxidant support.

Not fine and powdery enough
It is a pretty good product BUT it is not fine and (powdery) enough to stay on the skin or even dissolve well in the fluid. It is very gritty and grainy on my skin so I’m afraid my skin is not truly getting the full benefits because the product is just sitting on top of my skin. You do get a lot of it compared to what The ORDINARY gives but I will be going back to The ORDINARY product.

Works great in my serum
I add it to my distilled water and glycerin serum. Takes a little while to completely dissolve. It is clear, if it starts to color then it has oxidized and needs to be dumped and a fresh batch made. Don't mix up more than you will use within 1-2 weeks. I've been using this serum morning and night for 5 months. My skin looks smoother and less pigmented. Make sure to keep it in the dark once mixed to slow the oxidation process. I use a dark glass bottle which I store in a drawer and have had it still good at 3 weeks when I finished it off. Haven't used any other brand yet, but will update when I have. Still have a lot left in this container. I am up to a 15% serum solution now, but started at a 5% to get my skin adjusted. I have given myself a chemical burn with citric acid not properly diluted and it is possible to do the same with this. Do your research and know your skin. If you are having trouble getting it to dissolve, then you are doing something wrong. The higher the solution strength, the longer it will take to dissolve. I didn't check to see how long mine took because I wasn't going to be using it until the next day. Was completely dissolved by morning. I mix directly in my 2 oz. spray bottle and shake well. I use a small funnel and L-ascorbic acid first, then distilled water. I shake these first before adding my glycerin. I always shake mine before using. Don't know if it's necessary, force of habit with any liquids.

It dissolved just fine
I have to do a solid for Resurrection Beauty. I'm new to making my own serums and still learning a great deal. Resurrection Beauty's vitamin C is my third brand to purchase. After my purchase was well on its way to me, I then decided to read the reviews of the product. They gave me concern that my product would not dissolve enough. This prompted an experiment as soon as my vitamin C powder arrived. I took a lidded jar and put some vitamin C powder in it, added some filtered water, and let it sit for a while, probably fifteen or more minutes. It dissolved just fine. I took the few teaspoons of water with the visibly dissolved product in it, and ran every drop over my hands a little at a time, feeling it as well. Perhaps for dissolving in your hand for immediate use, this vitamin C powder may not work as quickly as some. For dissolving in water for homemade serums, it seems to work as well as both of the other, more expensive brands I've purchased.

Burned my whole face - chemical burn!
This stuff gave me a very bad chemical burn on my skin! I mixed as directed, mixing with witch hazel and shaking vigorously and despite running the amber jar pump through warm water was barely able to get any product to dispense, but eventually dispensed a small amount and applied a light layer all over my face. it immediately had a warm, burning feeling but instead of subsiding it kept growing in intensity - the burning getting worse that after five minutes i went back to the bathroom to look and my face was all red, i ran some cool water and attempted to since it off, which only made the stingy even worse. within 24 hours my face was completely dried up forming large scabs of burned skin. i could barely move my mouth, it hurt to smile, to eat, to talk, etc. I immediately after rinsing off the application of this product put pure cold pressed aloe oil on to treat it like the burn it was. the next 48 hours my skin continuously peeled and i'm certain the healing time would have been much, much longer if i didn't have great products on hand like the pure aloe or argon oil which helped speed up the processes. it has been absolutely awful!!

Very difficult to dissolve; more like granules than powder
Unless you plan on making a lot of serum at once and letting it sit for days before use, you're going to end up feeling grits on your fingers when you use your serum. Since LAA degrades quickly I and most people I know prefer to just mix a serum as needed. However, the size of the crystals probably will affect those making a batch of serum too. I put it with water and glycerin in a bottle and shake it vigorously, and it doesn't fully dissolve. I let it sit for an hour then shake it again and it's not dissolved. I put some of my leftover serum out in the air for 2 days just to see if it'd be easier to dissolve after some time- nope. Still at least 1/4 of the LAA visible. I won't give a poor review because it IS LAA and it's fine as far as I can tell. But just for people who are going to buy - don't expect it to be a powder. It's not. And if there were one on Amazon that was more powder-like, I would buy it even if it was more expensive. For now, I will just let the undissolved crystals settle and use the serum that does have the dissolved C. I'm not getting the concentration I measure this way, though. Next time I will try crushing some of the granules into powder with two spoons and update my review
