Frienda 250 Year American Flag Costume Cape, Retro 80's USA Sunglasses and Flag Headband for 250th Anniversary 4th of July

Fun costume - got a lot of compliments when I wore it to the recent No Kings rally wtih a red/white/blue outfit on to pair with it. Surprisingly well made, considering the low price.

Wow, imagine my excitement when this arrived just days before the 4th of July. Stars were spangling, seas were shining and my enthusiasm was at an all time high. We did a trial run by having my 12 year old wear this to the local parade. Needless to say, many disappointed parade-goers confessed to us that the whole of the parade was eclipsed by the shear awesomeness of young Charles’ ensemble. Nary a single one of them could perceive any other greatness after first beholding his glory. But, alas, as with all shining glory, when not kept in check, it has the potential to consume you. I decided to take the spangled cloak and adorn it myself. My prerogative was such that I mounted my recently acquired Honda XR400 and began to traipse about the town to bring the lovely spirit of America to all. Sadly at this point my hubris must have overshadowed my enthusiasm for this great land and the cape fell from its wind blown glory, caught itself in wheel of my XR400 and yanked with extreme force at my neck. I may have been fortune’s fool but silver linings abounded and the Chinese quality of the tie allowed it to break free before my otherwise certain decapitation. So, dear reader, a caution. Show your pride with confidence but check your pride and don’t allow your hubris to be your end. Translation: don’t be an idiot like me and wear this while riding a motorcycle.

We hung the flag on the wall after kid wore it for Halloween. Its a cute, quick, cheap costume. Fit my teen son well.
