Q: What is the weight limit for this item?

It’s not a weight limit, it’s a force limit, 40kn, so if you aren’t falling on it, it’s an absurd amount of weight, if you are falling, you’d need to do a calculation with your MASS, not weight, and use the rate of acceleration for gravity (roughly 9.8 meters per second per second) and the height of the fall to determine kn.

Q: Is this made of steel?

It is NOT steel - it's not magnetic. I'm guessing Aluminum, based on weight. The exterior is coated, and if aluminum, it is likely an anodized coating.

Q: Is this brand made in USA?

Best I can tell it’s made in China. Ive purchased quite a few of these and find the quality is satisfactory
