Handy and effective
Purchased these to use with corded headphones for my phone; enables me to hold the phone comfortably while protecting the headphone cable from being bent and damaged.

Stout, low profile
I'm using these with as standard pair of headphones (no mic or buttons) and they work just fine. I bought them for the low profile - that is, they don't stick as far out from the player as typical jacks do, creating the opportunity for damage if it torques the wrong way in your pocket. In this, they are pretty good. No audio problems. The male side snaps nicely into my player. The female side is sufficiently snug, could probably be a little tighter, but there's no play/intermittency I haven't had any issue with the headphones coming out yet. They appear to be well made, lot of material in these.I'd probably recommend them to a friend, if they were looking for this sort of thing.EDIT: I found, later, that I had not inserted the headphones all the way into this adapter. In actuality, the jack is exceptionally snug, not loose at all. So I will repeat my recommendation for this, I think it is just great.

Works as advertised
I used this to connect two halves of a split keyboard together. (Charybdis Nano.) Strong connection, the 'L' shape is much better than a straight for the configuration, and it works great. If I get another split keyboard, I'd happily buy another set.

Not reliable (update)
I didn't expect any issues with these, but I was wrong. The socket end does not fully connect to the 3.5mm plug of my Apple earbuds. It will work if you push it in hard enough, but it does not "snap" in fully and often comes loose. Several times when answering a phone call the caller could not hear me on the earbuds mic.I'm going to look for another product.Update:I am upgrading my rating from two to five stars. I found another product but it had the same problem. However, when I pushed in the phone plug harder than before, it snapped in securely. I decided to try pushing in harder on the plug using the previously purchased product, and it also finally snapped it securely.Bottom line: both this product and the product I purchased to replace it both work properly. You just need to push the phone's earbuds plug into the socket very hard, especially when new.

Worked for the task at hand
I had to have something to connect my wife's new computer to her monitor speakers that didn't stick straight out from the jack in front. With the 90 degree plug, it does not project beyond the depth of the connector. As it was a two pack, I have an extra for any similar use.

works well: good quality
Had a 12 inch audio cable in stock and used it for bench testing. I later purchased a 6 in audio cables, pkg of two straight male ends and, a pkg of two: 6 in: each having one straight male and one right angle male. I chose to use the 6 in straight and right angle ends: the other three went into stock. The right angle end of the audio cable went into the Raspberry pi and the straight went into the audio board.Note:the R pi audio alsa chip is factory set low volume: you need to enter the terminal to change it : See photos:Open the terminal: enter: sudo alsamixerthis brings up the main screen: you will see the word master under the column: use the keyboard up arrow to raise the column to 100:next press f6 and a window will open: use the keyboard down arrow:choose the headphone option a column will appear with the word headphone under it: raise the column to 100 and press exit.Check your screen speaker control slider which can be used to control the output volume to your audio board.Your new board volume control now has output control of what you set on your on your screen speaker slider. If you set your slider at 50% your small board will take that 50% as it’s 100%. Play around with it.I built a wood speaker case: sat my R pi on top: sandwiched with high density black foam

Good solution to older car connection
Connecting a 2009 car audio jack to a modern iPhone required 2 adapters - this worked very well for the small console space that had to hold the cord & phone.

Not the advertised length, well not exactly!
Be careful, the length of the cable is from tip to tip, and not the actual useable length of the cable once it's plugged in. Once plugged in, you have more about 6-6.5" of length without over-tensioning the cable. I wanted to use it to connect my Steelseries headphones to my Quest 2 VR headset, but it was 2 inches too short...
