Such a simple device and yet it has made life so much easier for me. Its hard to go wrong with this thing, so I'm sure they're all very similar to each other. But I was using a vice before and this is like night and day. Its great!

I have had to make or fix IDC type cables from time to time. I have been using just a hammer in a wood block to bang the cable in the connector. It is not ideal, but I didn't want to spend the money to get a crimper just for that. I came across this crimper on Amazon with no cost to me. I just need to write an honest review for. Here is my honest review. This too is fantastic. It is very easy to use. There is a notch on the plastic piece that matches the IDC connector. It holds the connector in place while secure the ribbon cable on top. Wednesday living cable is in place, or I had to do was just to squeeze the handles together. The whole process is so much easier than the hammer and wood method. And the result is just very professional looking. Besides the crimper, the kit comes with many IDC connectors. Currently, you can get the whole kit for 21 bucks on Amazon. That's a really good deal. If I knew I could get a whole kit for that cheap, I will have purchased one long ago. When I looked at the price a couple of decades ago, it was close to $100 just for the crimped. Anyway I highly of a command this two for the incredible low price, and it actually works well.

Anybody that has tried to install or repair ribbon cables knows how difficult that can be without the right tool or connectors. Now I finally have one. Love it!The connectors come in a plastic box and are sorted by size in their own compartments.The crimpers work perfectly making the job super easy.Not a lot to say about this other than it's a great tool to have and a very good deal. I'm very happy about getting this.
