My initial review: it's alright. I am not exactly pleased with it, although it's not unusable.It'll serve it's purpose for me but the *one* thing that has caused it to be a 3 star product is that when I flip the record button on it takes a good 2-3 seconds for the recording to start, and that's wildly frustrating, and unfortunately unacceptable. It's a deal breaker for me. I'm sure it seems like a non issue to some people but to me it's important that when I flip the record button on the recording starts within a reasonable time frame.It's taking a while for me to get used to having to wait for the actual recording to start. For example, what has happened to me more than once, and now I have to plan for it, is that I flip the recording on, record an audio, and then when I play it back, I've missed a good 2-4 seconds of content because the recording hadn't actually started. So now I have to wait until the screen backlight goes off before I start my recording! What the heck! That's how long it takes for the recording to start "taking."Maybe I got a defective unit or that's just how it works. For my specific purpose it does not work the way I intended it to be used. I would not recommend it to anyone who wants to do short to medium recordings. I'm sure if I was recording a lecture it wouldn't be so bad, but when I have a short script to read the 2-3 second delay time is wildly frustrating.

Excellent sound. Case design is outstanding. Solid, slim, sturdy. Very nice feel.Some things to improve: Instructions printed in far too small a font and overly complicated. Recording times by bit rates listed in MONO. This is a stereo recorder. No mention of charging time required for a full charge. Time indicator should have a 24 hours or AM/PM option. No headphone or mic emblem on plugs.

I had to use a magnifying glass to read the instructions. The quality of the recording is reasonable however... The complexity of the user interface is not what I thought I was acquiring.The 'other' problem with this product is that the user interface defaults to playing pre-recorded music rather than the digital voice recording that is in the title of this product. I was purchasing a voice recorder as its main use and the user interface is less 'easy' to use as was expected for a Digital Voice Recorder and Dictaphone.

This recorder is fine in terms of sound quality and storage.However, it's difficult to use, because the screen is cramped and confusing, and the playback is hard to figure out. I sort of got the hang of it after a while, but kept losing my recordings (which were for my work as a journalist, so that wasn't cool).Four months after I began using this, it stopped working completely and is now, unfortunately, trash.

Works great but the earbuds that came with it didn’t work and are cheaply made. Overall if you already have earbuds/headphones your set.

It is impossible to figure out how to use this. Even the directions that came with it don't help. I wish I returned it in time for a refund.

This recorder is excellent for what i need.
